There is something to say

[English]
Representation of Ai-Ai Gasa is not 愛愛傘(Love-Love Umbrella). 相合傘(under one umbrella) is correct. source
[Japanese]
Ai-Ai Gasaの表記は愛愛傘ではありません。相合傘が正しいです。 --Kobosuke (talk) 08:18, 8 October 2013 (EDT)

Should this be added?

Action Replay codes that allow the player to use the CPU-exclusive items (Fireball, Poison Mushroom, Yoshi Egg) and Chomp (normally only used as a course hazard in match races): http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php/topic,17854.msg258715.html#msg258715

"OUT" on the results screen

While watching a Super Mario Kart corruptions video, I noticed at 4:53 in the video, the results screen showed up and instead of displaying the total time for each player, it displayed "OUT". This is a leftover from a prototype where players that don't cross the finish line in time will be considered out. --Ferrox (talk) 17:52, 12 May 2017 (EDT)

It is used in the final game, in 2P Grand Prix, if a player has a game over but not the other, it'll show OUT in the results screen instead of the time to complete the track. --BlueYoshi (talk) 14:43, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

Early Vanilla Lake theme MP3 recording

I don't really know where to put this, but this video by van_halen shows an early version of the Vanilla Lake theme. Reportedly, he recorded an MP3 of the song and sent it to Dave Harris so he could create a MIDI version of it. The quality isn't particularly great but it's better than hearing it from the native output of a CRT. --Dasragnerok (talk) 08:11, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

Incorrect info about menu saving

"Unlike the Japanese version, the international version saves your menu choices leading up to the racer select screen and will have your previous choices already selected the next time you go through the menus. This change allows you to mash the B button to quickly choose the same game mode that you played last time." might be incorrect as on my japanese copy of super mario kart played on a real snes it still saves menu choices including after a reset.
