About the debug option text in the options menu: 0x008A4490 0x000000ss is a selection modifier cheat code for CWCheat I just hacked out with my European version of the game. Problem being, the game crashes if ss set to anything higher than 07 (which is the player name change option). A setting of 08 just crashed the whole system for me. Now, I do not know if the European version still contains the text for that menu option, meaning that this approach might work on the US version, maybe even with the same code as the Gald modifier address is the same for EU and US (according to the CWCheat database I have anyway).

So, if anyone with a CFW'd PSP and the US version could try that code with values above 07, there's a chance we might be able to access that debug menu. Also note that the code only seems to work when the options menu is accessed from the title screen, not from in-game. --Xdaniel 14:44, 29 August 2012 (EDT)

Actually, scratch that, that debug text does appear in the European version as well, and doesn't appear to be related to the Options menu, but either the in-game main menu or the System submenu there. I'm gonna try the same approach again with those menus now... --Xdaniel 15:19, 29 August 2012 (EDT)
No dice, all I manage to do is crash my PSP. Using the code 0x017D616C 0x00000004 while in the System submenu forces the selection to... something. Pressing X now just closes the System menu and returns you to the main menu. I don't know if that's just a generic cancel option it runs there, or if the debug menu was removed, and its option just forces the game to return to the main menu. Maybe this actually does something on the US version? Neither do I know for sure if that address is constant between game states (or whatever you want to call it; dungeons/battles/menus/etc.) Oh well, I'm giving up, gonna leave this to someone more capable than I am. --Xdaniel 15:58, 29 August 2012 (EDT)

Debug Menus

I checked JP/US version. US version is hard to find debug functions by strings. because It is used string table for translation, not use directly reference address. and probably US version has model test. FYI here is address table: --Athena / 悠里マヤ (talk) 08:10, 14 November 2019 (EST)
