Level 6 easter egg

According to this reddit post, waiting 85 seconds on the sixth level will make a dog appear in the background, which David Todd deliberately added as a joke. Is that true? -Жукороп (talk) 21:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)

Apparently it is in the game files, now if it's possible to see in-game, I don't know. By viewing on CD-i Explorer, opening RLV.rtf, going to Record 43, then clicking "View -> Show Images...", you can see the dog there. I'm not experienced in extracting CD-i files, so the following screenshot has an improper palette: https://i.imgur.com/y0akBsB.png
The video is a mock-up, as explained by the author on the video's link, and it's not a real gameplay footage of the easter egg being captured. Gabrielwoj (talk) 23:10, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
Seems to be real. I got in the first try when playing through an emulator: https://i.imgur.com/qcKFmsB.png. Can't confirm if it works in real hardware. I will try getting via video recording now, wish I did this earlier, but nothing I can do than just try again. Gabrielwoj (talk) 23:17, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
Well, final response. I got the dog video three times in a row, I'm either starting to think this is just the regular video that plays once you reach the specific time, or I got lucky three times. I know some CD-i has some day-related easter eggs (see Hotel_Mario#Special_Days), so if it's anything noteworthy, I recorded in May, 02, 2023. I also can't tell if it's a problem with the emulator and always showing the easter egg. Maybe it's different on real hardware? Anyway, here are the two recordings I took: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYRdRQm4MlA and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rWr8Rz6rrE. Gabrielwoj (talk) 23:41, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
One last thing, sorry. If you look closely on both videos, once the dog disappears from the screen, the waves have a little "bump", as if the dog footage is indeed a separate one, as it's resuming to the default footage once the dog leaves. Apparently the CD-i has two separate "sprite" layers. As seen on the first screenshot with the incorrect palette, the video of the dog is only the part where the ocean moves. If we disable each layer on the emulator, we can see that pretty clearly: https://imgur.com/a/YV3qeIw, once the dog leaves, the 2nd picture layer is the one that has the little bump seen in both Youtube videos.
