Gameshark codes

I tried to use the level select code on my PS2 and it's not working. I remembered the "enable" code. I tried using it as both as a separate code (which made the most sense to me), and as the first line of code in the level select code (in case I was misunderstanding). Neither one works. Am I doing something wrong, or are the codes not written correctly? I tried the same with the level select code for A New Beginning and am having the same problem, so I assume it's something I'm doing wrong? --2B-20-43-48-52-49-53-54-20-2B (talk) 18:22, 7 October 2018 (EDT)

It's likely because I had no save file for the game while making the codes. Can you try removing your memory card before launching the game?--Punk7890 (talk) 18:26, 7 October 2018 (EDT)
I tried taking out the memory card as I took out the GameShark disc and put in the Spyro discs. For ANB, no cheat menus appeared. For TEN, the game freezes before the start menu loads. I suppose I could try just adding the codes to the GameShark without putting a memory card in at all, though that seems unnecessary. The enable code and level select/cheat menu code are supposed to be separate codes, right? (ie, not like the debug graphic codes where there are several lines for one code?) --2B-20-43-48-52-49-53-54-20-2B (talk) 12:20, 8 October 2018 (EDT)
They should be separate, yes. What is the SLUS / SLES bar code / executable name of your disc for this game? Also, if it isn't much trouble, could you upload your save file as well? --Punk7890 (talk) 19:26, 8 October 2018 (EDT)
