Seeing this game is ported off The Sims, there's a good chance there may be some leftovers....even the IGN screenshots explain that. --SodaDog (talk) 13:22, 17 July 2014 (EDT)
Debug Menu (Cheat Menu) In PlayStation 2 Version
Hi there, I've found a debug menu in both the EU and US releases of Bustin' Out for PlayStation 2 and I've yet to test the Japanese version. I'll document them once I know what's actually displayed on the cheat menu, since for some reason, all text is printed on one line, or going down by one pixel.
- Any images or videos? SodaDog (talk) 09:38, 19 February 2018 (EST)
- The green colour tells you what line is highlighted. You can access the debug menu by pressing Triangle, Circle and Square at the same time when cheatmenu is set on on. Blayer98 (talk) 10:50, 19 February 2018 (EST)
- Do I need to use a code for this? SodaDog (talk) 18:46, 19 February 2018 (EST)
- You can use PCSX2's debugger, and go to 203F8784 in Memory View (Ctrl + G) and set 00 to 01. Then once you're at the main menu, not the title screen, press Triangle, Circle and Square at the same time and the menu should pop up, this is for the US version atm. - Can it work on a normal console? Also, does this work on other Sim PS2 titles? (Since they use all the same engine)SodaDog (talk) 19:43, 19 February 2018 (EST)
- Well, if it works on PCSX2 it will work on a normal console lol, although you'll probably need something like Action Replay MAX. It won't work with other Sims PS2 games apart from Bustin' Out, every SLUS/SLES is different and has different code placements. Speaking of Action Replay MAX, here's a code I've done that should work on a normal console with Action Replay MAX, but you'll need a US copy of the game.
