Since the AKI games were based on Japanese wrestling games, perhaps the AI settings could be sorted out by using the original games these American ones were based on. "Ring Out" options probably either correspond to how the AI acts when they are rung out (do they dick around, get back in, look for a weapon, etc?) or how to respond when the opponent is rung out (stay in and taunt, follow them out, do a diving attack, etc.). If "Appeal" is the same as in Fire Pro, it basically means how often they taunt or otherwise showboat. I could be wrong and it could be a "crowd favor" thing. -LordMo 10:48, 5 May 2011 (EDT)

It's pretty much the same screen you'll find in Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. A lot of your assumptions are correct. --Freem inc 00:45, 4 October 2011 (EDT)

I get what you're saying with being able to load the Ho and Dummy placeholder spots, but I feel like I should point out that the models themselves are accessible as part of the regular game. If you clone one of the available female characters to a CAW slot and try to change her appearance, you'll find the Dummy at design 0 while the Hos are 9 through 11. It's even possible to edit the color of their outfits. --Wxbryant (talk) 18:49, 8 April 2014 (EDT)

That's correct, the models are used. The ability to play as them without using a CAW isn't.Theclaw (talk) 22:13, 8 April 2014 (EDT)

Mystery of the chrome dummy has been solved

Apparently if you use a shoot fighter character and KO someone on the outside during a battle royal, the next person in will be the "chrome dummy". According to the VPW Studio Discord guys, it's just the 0000 ID manifested as a character. Not an actual hidden wrestler. Just a glitch. In VPW2 something similar can happen that will result in a hairless Giant Baba. Due to the glitch nature, the character is physically impossible to beat, cannot be pinned or submitted. 👍 Tyler 💬 ✏️ 🇨🇦 10:38, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

Update, found some documents written by Freem (creator of the VPW Studio program), with an explanation of what causes the "chrome dummy". This is documentation for VPW2, but is what causes this glitch in this game as well:
Eliminating someone in a Battle Royal under the following conditions:
 1) You have Falls Count Anywhere turned on (eliminations can happen outside)
 2) You play as a shootfighter and beat someone outside with a beatdown submission
Causes the game to send out a clone of Player 1 (formerly theorized as your player, meaning whomever got submitted first becomes the clone) instead.
Something similar happening in WM2000 is what causes the 0000 player to appear looking like a chrome Dummy. 👍 Tyler 💬 ✏️ 🇨🇦 23:18, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
