Dashboard Questions
Does the dashboard secretly run on a game engine? I've been trying to look into that for a long time and can only find one piece of proof. This. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNJzXqlKeNU I can't even contact the darned user. --Whatthecrash404 (talk) 23:28, 18 April 2016 (EDT)
- That's no proof at all - that's a fan recreation of the dashboard in Unreal Development Kit (UnrealEngine3, circa 2006+) -HsienKo (talk) 23:47, 18 April 2016 (EDT)
- Looks like I will have to wait for XQEMU to get stable enough on windows so I or someone else could dive into this deeper (by debugging). --Whatthecrash404 (talk) 19:22, 19 April 2016 (EDT)
And what about the easter egg FMV? Has anyone managed to find where in the dashboard files it is? --Whatthecrash404 (talk) 19:25, 19 April 2016 (EDT)

Button inputs for progressive scan video and "noisy camera"
Probably worth mentioning that holding LT+RT+LS+RS switches the dashboard into 480p mode. Also, if X then Y is pressed on the home screen, the menus appear to float around more. These settings are saved to the dashboards title data folder (E:\TDATA\fffe0000) in the form of two flag files; PersistProgressiveScan and NoisyCamera. If these files exist, the option will be enabled when the dashboard is loaded. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by RichB93 (talk • contribs)
