Technic Beat is an updated version of Technictix, which was previously released for the PlayStation 2 in Japan. It is a music-rhythm game, where players select a song from a preset list and then “play” their chosen song using their on-screen character. Also notable for containing remixes of music from classic Namco and Arika games.

Hmmm...
To do:
  • More regional differences.

The color of the callout box's outline was changed from black to dark blue in the US version, and the Japanese version includes an message box with a daily fortune that was removed in the US release, therefore making this screen useless.

Like the Title Screen, the logo in the opening movie is different between regions.

The logo is different for each region on the title screen, and the copyright text was expanded for the US version. The copyright was also bumped up.

The Attract Demo in the Japanese version included the URL for the Japanese Arika website at the bottom of the screen, while in the US version, the text "Demo" was used instead and is placed on the bottom right.

Once again, the game's logo is different between versions on the Song Select screen, and some extra Japanese text were removed from the US release.

1970 Modern

Japan (Original) North America (Edited)

"1970 Modern" was edited for the US release to remove "profanity" in the first rap verse of it's lyrical content. It looks like actually, According to the lyric sample used for the song, the last word on the verse says "Hunchback" and the localization team perhaps misheard and thought that the "Hunchback" could have been something else.
