Street Fighter III: New Generation is the first game in the fourth Street Fighter subseries, notable for taking 2D graphics to yet another level thanks to CPS-3, which made the game unportable to consoles at the time. It also made the controversial decision to throw out a large portion of the cast from previous games in favor of all-new characters and unfortunately released at a time of a saturated fighting games market with audiences mostly craving for the newly-trending 3D graphics.
Pictured is Hugo in his stage, which would make proper appearances in the following entry. While the stage is largely complete, Hugo himself is mostly sketches and has huge frame numbers stored along with his animation frames. The game can also freeze if he is hit in particular ways.
