Ultima IX: Ascension is the final entry. After a five-year gap from the last disappointing entry in the series and numerous development issues, the series would end on a pathetic, hastily rewritten whimper.
Pictured here is an early model of the Avatar, meant for when the game used an isometric engine (similar to Ultima Online). The final game was fully 3D, but at the expensive of rewriting everything and discarding many assets up to that point, even the plotline used for the isometric version.
