The Haunting: Blood Water Curse is a horror game that was released as an Early Access demo, then after a poor reception was given to CREATEQ Interactive - at which point the game was abandoned since said company didn't actually exist. This was followed by Blue Box supposedly developing a PlayStation 5 horror title called Abandoned, whose development itself (and the company themselves) is a whole lot of ride (including accusations of being a scam, the game's script being leaked, and alleged and disproven connections to works of Hideo Kojima, right down to a Silent Hill 5 logo in the leaks).

Despite being a short demo, it's 49 GB in size.

Unused Maps

There are 16 maps present in the files (Maps and Forest_Environment_Set), though only three are used (boot, menumain, and Forest_Environment_Set_Map). The others can be accessed through the console.

There is a text line in t-shirt player can't seen normally. The text reads "The 3 Paranormal Investigators".

All but DemoMap2 and FirstSequence are taken from HQ Retro Farmhouse asset pack, made by NOTLonely in 2020. Some of these seem to have been developed enough for their own use, as there are posters for the "The 3 Paranormal Investigators" (the name of the fictional TV show that is the setting for the game's plot, mentioned in the unseen player outfit above) in those.

CharRoomSelect: This room contains posters for the "The 3 Paranormal Investigators", as well as posters for several indie games, namely 7th Sector, 35MM, The Uncertain Episode 1: The Last Quiet Day and it's sequel, Light at the End.

DemoMap

DemoMap2: A room with light in a house at night. This map also contains a "The 3 Paranormal Investigators" poster, as well as a fictional news report on the namesake investigators on the laptop screen.

FirstSequence: A test animation scene, featuring other two unknown characters in your crew. There is a "The 3 Paranormal Investigators" poster here, and the name suggests this would have been used as the first scene when the player begins a new game.
