The "Sorry!" icon was changed in the international versions, as the Japanese gesture for apologizing is more closely associated with praying in other countries.

The English version says "Hello!" instead of "Hi", and uses a font style more uniform with the other English communication icons. The Japanese version has transparency instead of white in Link's teeth and eyes.

The Japanese version has transparency between Link's right arm and head, similar to the version shown during Nintendo's demonstration.
English Translation
The European and North American versions of Tri Force Heroes have two very different translations. Once again, the American translation has more liberties compared to the European version, which uses a more serious tone.

Hey, you! Listen up, and I'll tell you how our story begins... |
Let me tell you how all this started. |
Once upon a time there was a kingdom called Hytopia. At the heart of this fashion-obsessed land was the lovely Princess Styla. |
Once, there was a kingdom in love with fashion. The people there lived and breathed it, lovely and stylish. And of them all, none were more lovely and stylish than the Princess Styla. |
The people adored their fair princess... but the Drablands witch despised the girl's unbearably cute fashion sense. |
Alas... There was one who did not wish the princess well. A witch, residing in the Drablands. |
One fateful day, a beautifully wrapped gift arrived at the castle. |
On the fateful day, a gift-wrapped parcel was delivered to the princess. |
The sender was unknown, and the box was brimming with an aura of mystery. The princess simply had to open it! Naturally, this was a HUGE mistake. |
The sender? Unknown. Suspicious? Well, of course, but a box so fancy the princess could not help but open. |
When the smoke cleared, Styla was met with a terrible sight, followed by the witch's voice in her pretty head: "A perfect outfit for a perfect princess." |
When the dark smoke had cleared, the princess was clad head to toe in clothes she wouldn't be seen dead in. "I fancied it'd suit you!", she heard a voice say. The box was from the witch! |
This cursed outfit of ultimate ugliness could not be removed no matter how the princess tried. Humiliated, she fell into misery and isolation. The people of Hytopia wept for her terrible fate. |
The witch had cursed the costume, and only her magic could remove it... Shame-stricken, the princess locked herself in her room and wouldn't leave, which cast a dark pall on the kingdom. |
The king, too, was in agony. As only chosen heroes may enter the witch's domain, the despicable Drablands, King Tuft issued a call to kingdoms near and far for a hero to save the day. |
The Drablands were the witch's domain; a nasty land, where only heroes ventured, and reluctantly at that. And so the king, in dire need of a hero, sent out envoys to neighbouring lands. |
Luckily, it wasn't long before this courageous young fella came passing through... |
Enter a young boy, eager for adventure... |
