The Sims: Bustin' Out (GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox)/The Sims Console Leftovers

From The Cutting Room Floor
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This is a sub-page of The Sims: Bustin' Out (GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox).

Hmmm...
To do:
Lots...including carpool textures, more menu icons, monkey butler stuff and vox.
  • Any leftover text for removed outcomes, such as the one outcome from the previous console entry where one of the family members in your household leaves for good, when you let them fight each other too many times.

Since this game uses an improved engine of The Sims for console, it's obvious that there are leftovers lurking.

Gameplay UI

Hmmm...
To do:
border background, and pause menu icons.

House Title Screens

Get A Life Mode

Oddly, house07 is missing.

Multiplayer

Oddly, housec01 is missing, and the textures are 512x512.

Sim Textures

Burglar NPC

Goes unused due to having a completely new design. Oddly, the original design can be seen in the intro and ending FMV.

Sounds

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Leftover Monkey Butler sounds.
  • Check if the carpool opening door/leaving sounds are used and not just repurposed.

Miscellenious

Filename Sample Notes
cash_register
The item buying sound used in the previous game and its mainline counterpart goes unused here for some reason. The selling sound is always used.

Carpool Sounds

There are leftover sounds for carpools, which are scrapped in the game in favor of a bus transit. CAR_SCHOOLBUS_HONK1 for the bus transit.
