Debug Sprite

Smurfs-DebugSpr.gif

A debug sprite can be found with the other sprite files. It starts off with a blue vertical line which seems to change in accordance with the sprite movement, reverting to the line once the cycle is complete.

Debug Menu

Smurfs-DOS-Debug.png

Type PEYO (the name of the Smurfs' author) at the Infogrames screen. If done right, a sound can be heard. During gameplay press F1 to open a debug menu with the following options:

LEVEL
IMMORTALITY
MOVE WITH TAB
SHOW COLLISION
SHOW NME TYPE
AUTO BONUS
RETURN
LEVEL SPEED

At offset 0x721F2 in the DOS version and 0x30FEE in the Windows 95 version is a line referring to a debug system.

Thankyou for using Neil's debug stuff which was written by Kev.

tuneup

A file entitled tuneup can be found amongst the other music files.

Duplicate Song

A near identical version of the title song is under the title of bagden. The only noticeable difference is the file size being 21kbs larger.
