The Three Dragon Story is an unlicensed shoot-'em-up that is noticeably inspired by Konami's Knightmare and even improves upon it in several aspects, such as adding a health bar and a proper weapons system.

It is also known for being very difficult and punishing, even having design features that would not look out of place in a bullet hell game (years before the term itself was even coined).

Developer Credit

Present at offset 0x5B6 in the MSX version is a text string that contains a build date, as well as credits for the game's programmer and composer. The last portion (in white below) is also present in the Master System version at offset 0x5D9.
