At the very end of the ROM is programming for an early title screen which has a different logo, text font and missing the password option. A boot screen with the same logo also exists. To access it, use the following game enhancer codes:

Pro Action Replay Game Genie
0F84E4:4E71 RGCA-861E
0F86BA:000F B8DA-8AF4
0F86BC:7F04 AWDA-9876
0F86CE:0058 MCDA-8AGR

The first code is a checksum bypass code and might not be required. Wait until the game finishes the first demo, and then it will jump to the early screens (instead of the High Score screen).

Default Visible Text

The boot screen has text on bottom which isn't visible by default (it's unknown if this is a limitation of the codes, or the palette entry was intentionally or accidentally set to black. To view it, add this code:

Pro Action Replay Game Genie
001AFC:0EEE 72PA-A6H6

The white text palette is a best guess (assumes it uses the same palette as the Start Game/Options text on the title screen).

Options

Proto Final

The early Options menu is missing a difficulty select, music on/off toggle, and the controls setup uses a different name for the weapon mode.

Finally, the sound test isn't on a separate page. The music names are changed as follows:

Proto Final

LEVEL 1 BOSS TUNE LEVEL 1 BOSS
LEVEL 2 TUNE LEVEL 2
LEVEL 2 BOSS TUNE LEVEL 2 BOSS
LEVEL 3 TUNE LEVEL 3
LEVEL 3 BOSS TUNE LEVEL 3 BOSS
LEVEL 4 TUNE LEVEL 4
LEVEL 4 BOSS TUNE LEVEL 4 BOSS
INTRO TUNE TITLE THEME
WIN GAME TUNE WIN GAME
LEVEL INTRO TUNE LEVEL INTRO
LOSE LIFE TUNE LOSE A LIFE
GOAL REACHED TUNE GOAL REACHED
GAME OVER TUNE GAME OVER
LEVEL OUTRO TUNE LEVEL OUTRO
SEGA JINGLE SEGA LOGO
MICROPROSE JINGLE STARTING LOGO

The Stop Music entry doesn't function.

The sound effects test also has different names, and is very unfinished . Only a handful of sound effects are listed, some of which aren't in the final sound test and may be unused in normal gameplay:

Proto Final
YAHOO GYRO RISE
YAHOO #2 GANTRY EXTEND
DECOY RELEASED (?)
ENEMY MISSILE (?)
STOP SOUND COLLECT BULLET #1
