Password System
As is the case with Babs' Big Break, the Japanese version contains a password feature that was removed in the international versions, thus resulting in a few alterations to the international versions in order to remove all references to the password feature:
The title screen was altered to remove the password feature. The logo was also changed due to the title difference.

The Game Over screen was also altered to remove the option to view the current password. Additionally, the Japanese version has unlimited continues while the international versions only gives you two continues. This also changes the prize for beating the between-stage mini-games- winning in the Japanese version gives you an extra life while winning in the international versions gives you an extra continue.

Gameplay
- The international versions shift the score system by removing the last digit from the score. For example, a carrot worth 100 points at the end of a stage is changed to be worth 10 points.
- Accounting for the above change, life extends are every 20000 points in the Japanese version, while every 3000 in the international versions.
- All bosses have one less health point in the Japanese version, affecting both difficulty modes.
- All of the bosses were toned down for the Japanese version:
- Cowboy Max and his attacks are significantly slower, while his arena has less spikes.
- Kabuki Max throws three fans when the frog's mouth is closed, this was reduced to two. He also takes longer to throw fans.
- Cyber Max's legs don't move after each hit, making his body the only part to dodge, which also moves slower.
- Franken Max is unchanged, but the retracting spikes that show up when he lands on the ground retract sooner.
- The final boss doesn't drop movie reels as quickly and his punch is telegraphed.
- The international versions only show the credits when completing the hard course.
Mini Games
- The time limit is more lenient in the Japanese version.
- In the tug-of-war game, the POW meter decreases faster in the international versions so you must mash the buttons faster too.
- In the soccer game, Furrball starts throwing soccer balls more frequently from the start in the international versions.
