Zen-Nihon GT Senshuken's options menu contains a sound test, which was replaced with a menu to switch between miles per hour and kilometers per hour in Top Gear GT Championship. Key Config was also renamed Button Config.

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.

The Japanese character sets were removed in Top Gear GT Championship, and a handful of punctuation marks were added.

Mobile System GB

Zen-Nihon GT Senshuken supports the Mobile System GB adapter, allowing one to share course ghosts and custom courses, and to view and submit best times. This was removed in Top Gear GT Championship due to the adapter itself not being released outside of Japan, with the icons for the other options enlarged to fill the gap.

The Mobile Adpater GB logo seen at boot in Zen-Nihon GT Senshuken was naturally removed as well.
