The first and Japan-only Hamtaro game where you take care of him and also do some fortune-telling.

Unused Hamtaro Poses

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Tricycle graphics are used according to the game's official strategy guide (under specific conditions); are they truly unused?

Some of the poses Hamtaro takes during dialogues aren't shown in the final game. Most of them show him riding a tricycle, that he never does. These animations can be triggered by the GameShark code 01XX3ECE, XX being the pose ID.

Hamtaro Poses Test

These are test dialogues for some Hamtaro poses that still are in the game. The first one starts with the date 08/02/2000 3:29 PM, so these were created 1 month prior to the game release. Note that "TEST" in the video is the player name.

Staff Final Message

There is a hidden message from the staff that shows up when you reach year 2099. Though it is not technically unused, you have to wait at least 8 years to see it due to the fact that the maximum date you can set at the beginning is 12/31/2090 11:59 PM.

Hamtaro TDD - Final Message.png

Thank you for playing for a long time - all the staff

At any time the year counter reaches 99, the game interrupts any action performed by the player (whether it is listening to Hamtaro, entering a new friend name, fortune-telling or even trying to delete your save), stops the music and display the message. You can set the counter to 99 using the GameShark code 019905C6, but beware of the consequences.

After that message, the game asks the player if they want to delete the save. However, choosing "no" will just send back to the message, so there is no other way than deleting the save to play it again.
