temporary stuff for Prerelease:Spore
This article has just been started and needs the article basics added. Help us out and add them. |
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article? |
This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |
This page sucks. If you could make it suck less, that would be awesome. |

Videos of builds from 2005-2006
GonzangoGL
To do: Investigate GonzangoGL some more. |
- When Spore released in 2008, Maxis released some gameplay prototypes (not game builds) for specific features of the game. http://www.spore.com/comm/prototypes
- However, these are barebones and are very different from the builds seen in Will Wright's demonstrations of the game in GDC 2005 and E3 2006. ON THE OTHER HAND, in GonzagoGL, one of the most complex of these barebones protos (which has hidden stages beyond the creature stage it only demos by default), there are model files that happen to be remnants of the GDC 2005 build's Aquatic Stage.
- Found in GonzagoGL\Data\Models\Underwater:
Music
To do: Upload and post them. |
- There is music in the pre-development demos that happen to be from the game builds.
Concept Art
- Some concept art for the game (such as premade creations ala the default ones you see in the final game) has been released, possibly from the artbook(s).
- Willosaur Concept Art:
- Apparently there was going to be fur in the final game. This picture below appears to be in-engine.
- This monster seems to have lived on as the infamous sea monster in the final game that prevents you from swimming.
