This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |
This page details one or more prototype versions of Raw Danger.

Version differences
Intro & Title Screen
- Intro cutscene is different.
- Under the options menu there is an option to install the game to the HDD, although this is not available in the demo.
Unused content
The rope in the destroyed banquet hall area is likely to get past the obstacle that you need the bullhorn for in the final game. I don't know how this would happen, but evidence in the final game suggests that this sequence was changed. For example, dialogue between the head waiter and Joshua for that segment has a higher sound ID than most other voice lines in the area, which suggests that it was added later. Also, there is unused descriptive text ("Hold on." "Use the rope to get over here...") following "Construction materials are left here. I can't get to the other side." and "Oh, no. I can't go through here."

Debug Mode
TODO: Put debug info crap here
DEMO A: debug mode = PS2 RAW 0039D478 (2039D478) == 1
DEMO B: debug mode = PS2 RAW 0043E2B4 == 1
Will crash emulator easily, PS2 likely runs out of memory with this enabled.
DEMO A: Free up memory by removing level geometry and effects with 0039D838 == 1, also make sure to set 0039D840 to 0.
DEMO B: Free up memory by removing level geometry and effects with 0043E630 == 1, also make sure to set 0043E638 to 0.
Enabling this mode sets game FPS to 15, is it possible to do this without enabling debug? The 60 FPS mode?
Appears this mode actually maxes out the EE instead of changing the FPS.
