This is a sub-page of Proto:Unreal Tournament/Version 222/Assault Levels.

Skybox

AS-Hispeed uses a completely different skybox in this build. Instead of a starry night sky with the moon, v222 uses an cloudy and dark sky. There are noticeable seams where parts of the skybox connect, which is likely one of the reasons why this sky was removed from the final game. However, the final's preview screenshot for AS-Hispeed still uses the old skybox.

CAR Stairs

V222's take on AS-Hispeed uses elevators to connect the upper and lower parts of each CAR. The final game changes it into stairs, presumably to make it easier to get between the two floors.

Turrets

The turrets in CAR 1, the turret in CAR 3's defender spawn hallway, and the turret on top of CAR 3 do not exist in this build.

The turret on top of CAR 1 is a fireball-shooting one in v222, but is a minigun turret in the final game.

Lighting

The lighting in v222's AS-Hispeed is noticeably darker than in the final game. Because of this, some of the lights are brighter than they are in the final game.

Crate Texture

In v222, the crates use a texture that makes them look like several crates stacked together. The final game uses a single texture that makes it one large crate.

Helicopter Weapons

In v222, the helicopter has a Shock Rifle, Pulse Gun, and Rocket Launcher. The Rocket Launcher was removed from the final game.

Back Car Weapon

There is a Sniper Rifle and a box of Sniper ammo at the very back of the train in v222. The final game replaces it with a Rocket Launcher; presumably to make up for the Rocket Launcher being removed from the helicopter in the final game.

The blue lights on the second car are lighter than they are in the final game.

CAR 3 Body Armor

The Body Armor in CAR 3 is on top of the crate it lays next to. In its place is a box of Flak Cannon ammo that was completely removed from the final game.

CAR 3 Cabin Weapons

The weapons in the CAR 3 cabins the defenders originally spawn in are right next to the door in v222. The final game puts them in the center of the cabin.

The Medkit near CAR 3's exit was moved a bit to the right between v222 and the final game to make way for their staircase.

CAR 2 Minigun

In v222, CAR 2's Minigun has an extra box of bullet ammo and a Medkit. These seem to have been removed to make way for the staircase that replaced the elevator.

CAR 1 Roof Door

The door on CAR 1's roof opens much slower in v222.

Acid Tank Message

In v222, a message appears when someone has reached the car with the acid tank on it. This does not happen in the final game.

CAR 3 Message

The message telling everyone that the attacking team has entered CAR 3 plays when an attacker is in the middle of CAR 3, not near the door to it.

CAR 2 Message

No message appears when an attacker reaches CAR 2.

CAR 1 Roof Message

There is no message if someone manages to reach CAR 1's roof.

Message Differences

The messages that pop up when completing certain objectives are different in v222.

Prototype Final
Enemy sighted In (sic) CAR 3 !! CAR 3 is about to be breached!
Enemy is Entering (sic) CAR 1 !!!! CAR 1 is about to be breached!
Control Cabin Access Switch Activated !!! (sic) control (sic) cabin access switch has been activated!!

Removed Death Messages

If the player falls between the CARs and gets killed, “fell between the cars...that hurts” will appear right before the kill message does. This message appears to be broken, as the first part suggests that the player's name should come before it. This was removed in the final game.
