For the Pugsy stuff that you're having trouble condensing for the main page, keep in mind you can create Notes pages for games to expand on things like that. Abaxa 13:43, 4 March 2011 (EST)

I can try to do it later — the only issue is figuring out what exactly the four anti-piracy check triggers are. - Andlabs 17:14, 5 March 2011 (EST)

You uh, you DO realise that making names 100% precise and a complete bitch to type isn't compulsory, right? TheKins 05:40, 14 March 2011 (EDT)

What are you referring to, exactly?
If you're talking about the XB(upside down A)ND pages, I'm inclined to agree. Did they really use the upside-down A in official documentation, or was that just a stylistic choice for the logo? :\
If you're talking about moving certain pages to "Game Name (Console)," we really don't have much of a choice there. --BMF54123 05:47, 14 March 2011 (EDT)
I'm referring to the XBand page, yeah. Everything I've seen of it points to it being a stylistic choice for the logo, not part of actual documentation.
I also vaguely recall some other game's page got it's name changed slightly to remove dumb symbols, but I forget what one.
I'm fine with the Name (Console) stuff. TheKins 07:16, 14 March 2011 (EDT)
This is just my two cents, but I think we should have a disambiguation page for Sonic, but without the template (see the Tetris article for example). We should probably also rename Sonic 2006 to its proper name and mention it in the disambiguation page for Sonic the Hedgehog. That just makes better sense to me. -TonicBH 09:59, 14 March 2011 (EDT)

Re:Genesis

Sorry, I only have a Model 2 and it's packed away somewhere. Even then, I only have a very small library of games (no cheat devices) and I'm not sure I have all the necessary cables. --WarioBarker 21:40, 31 March 2011 (EDT)

Re:"Capt'n" Havoc

Wow, I never imagined there'd be more than one European version. I'm not at home right now, so I can't check, but I'm from Portugal, and bought it from a used game store here. Don't know its normal country of origin, but I'll scan the boxart once I get home. {EspyoT} 09:12, 12 April 2012 (EDT)

I... was wrong. My boxart DOES say just "Havoc", and is the same one as the one shown in that Sega Retro wiki page (well, just the front and side, the back also has text in other languages). I'm still very sure the title screen on my game said "Capt'n Havoc". Also, the manual says "Captain Havoc" like 3 or 4 times. {EspyoT} 15:07, 12 April 2012 (EDT)

Neo-Geo (Arcade) Release Dates

Hey there, I noticed you edited the dates on the games I added last night. I wanted to let you know about Neo-Geo.com's master release list - they basically list all release dates for NeoGeo games there, including MVS (Arcade), AES (Home) and CD. The Arcade release dates are worldwide. The cart contents are the same across regions, the region of the system is what changes the text (except for the Korean releases, those were reprogrammed specifically for that market.) So we should probably keep the Arcade releases based on the Neo-Geo.com and SNK release lists. The home versions should be based on the Neo-Geo.com release list. // Foxhack 14:25, 22 April 2012 (EDT)

Multiplatform games and Neo Geo games are a kludge in this website's design, because the Bob template (which is designed to automate things) only works for one console. I wonder where that website got the ENG Home or how it knows the international releases were on the same date as the JP releases, which SNK Playmore provides an official resource for. But yeah research into the actual history of arcades still needs to be done :/ - Andlabs 15:20, 22 April 2012 (EDT)
Well that website was basically founded by Neo-Geo fans. As in, obsessed with the console. Note that some games from 1999 onwards do have verifiable release dates because of the internet, and publicly available press releases (plus website announcements and so on) were easier to find and distribute. Still... their info is probably correct, but if you feel this isn't entirely verifiable, then I'll concede and only list SNK P's official release dates. If you have any comments on what I add here then feel free to drop me a line via the wiki. I'm always up for some discussion on how to handle things the right way. // Foxhack 16:34, 22 April 2012 (EDT)
No, do whatever you'd like. I am curious as to what resources they used because this isn't something that many people try to do. The actual history of arcades really needs to be better documented, so kudos to them for starting - Andlabs 17:36, 22 April 2012 (EDT)

When moving pages...

Make sure the title screen remains intact. When moving pages, sometimes the title screen goes missing due to the altered article title and it has happened quite a bit. Just a friendly warning. --From: divingkataetheweirdo 16:11, 21 May 2012 (EDT)

"Ninjaing" people

I apologize for "ninjaing" edits (I don't have a clue what anyone else is doing). However, I wonder what you classify as "ninjaing" (i.e. doing edits around the same time you are or doing edits that should be done by someone else). --From: divingkataetheweirdo 17:49, 23 June 2012 (EDT)

Sorry — I had already started adding the template before you did and got a bit frustrated because I have other technical issues today. There's nothing wrong and no need to apologize it's my mistake =P - Andlabs 17:52, 23 June 2012 (EDT)

Moon:Remix RPG Adventure on the Saturn?

I'm not sure if the game was released on the Saturn. Can you tell where you are getting this from? --From: divingkataetheweirdo 14:38, 26 July 2012 (EDT)

...whooops, misread Noon for Moon - Andlabs 14:43, 26 July 2012 (EDT)
but Remix RPG Adventure isn't part of the name - Andlabs 14:50, 26 July 2012 (EDT)
actually forget it I don't know anymore I'll call you when I'm feeling better - Andlabs 14:51, 26 July 2012 (EDT)

Original filenames

UI_BL_Att_Forklift

UI_Bl_Att_Armor_Wood

UI_BL_Info_Forklift

UI_BL_Info_Wood

What are the file extensions? - Andlabs 16:45, 27 October 2012 (EDT)

They are all bitmaps.

That doesn't help. I'd like to know what the whole filename is - for instance, UI_BL_Info_Wood.xyz. You can enable these in Windows by going into Folder Options in Windows Explorer and unchecking "Hide extensions for known file types". - Andlabs 16:52, 27 October 2012 (EDT)

Re: Skylanders Giants

One problem with moving it to the Xbox 360 subheader...that content is also in the PS3 game. If anything the 3DS version is the odd one out, and if the Bob template supported multiple platforms listed it'd reflect it properly.--Kung Fu Man 02:27, 28 October 2012 (EDT)

That's the thing: I don't know if anyone has figured out how to get it to support multiple platforms. Wasn't there someone who was working on it yesterday? - Andlabs 02:32, 28 October 2012 (EDT)

What PS1 Community?

Literally what I posted was what I was able to find. Almost noone cares about PS1 games these days, especially such mostly forgotton gems as Gex. Teraunce 14:55, 24 November 2012 (EST)

Not the PS1 community, this community. Join Jul and ask (nicely) on the TCRF forum for assistance. - Andlabs 14:56, 24 November 2012 (EST)
Well that would help, if the forum let me post. Teraunce 15:44, 24 November 2012 (EST)

Teraunce 15:51, 24 November 2012 (EST) Addendum. I apparently did something stupid for reasons that seemed right at the time. I deleted my username from the username field, because at first glance it seems to only exist if you want to login as someone else. some clarification might be nice.

Sega CD Page Edits

Thanks for editing my Sega CD page, I'm just a new guy, but at least (I think) I'm doing a good job =D - TheRoflGuy 11:46, 18 December 2012 (PST)

What a nice comment! Welcome to the wiki, and thanks for your contributions so far! --GlitterBerri 15:09, 18 December 2012 (EST)

Me being inactive

I bet people are questioning about my inactivity. It all comes down to 1 factor: My feeling that I am unwelcome. Every time I edit an article(Sometimes that I confirmed or just added humor just because), There's an 80% chance it gets deleted, Mostly by BMF. I bet you're asking why I am posting this on this page. This user(Next to GlitterBerri) Were the nicest people I've met on this page so far. Anyways, back to the Unwelcome topic. Even if I confirm that it's true(Like my Anti-Piracy Add to Pokemon FR/LG page) It gets deleted. Sure I understand the Grammar edits to the MW2 page, But this is just BS. From here on out, I'm partially inactive. If you want to contact me, I'm Roflnoob100 on roblox. I may edit some pages if I research something that isn't on the page, But I bet 90% of the time BMF will be stalking me. Bye. TheRoflGuy 20:45, 3 January 2013 (PST)

Maybe if your edits weren't unnecessary or inaccurate "80%" of the time, they wouldn't BE reverted. You even provided a perfect example:
"Even if I confirm that it's true(Like my Anti-Piracy Add to Pokemon FR/LG page) It gets deleted."
Bullcrap. I'd like to know how you "confirmed" this one. Did you personally look through multiple dumps of the ROM for the string (hint: we did!), or is it true because DaPikachuMasta99 said so in a YouTube video?
I'm not going to apologize for trying to maintain some level of quality and accuracy on this wiki, and I'm not going to stop monitoring your future edits, as I am an administrator and that is my job here. If you feel that amounts to "stalking"...well, too bad. The door's over there.
Oh, and if you feel this reply is harsh, maybe you should have brought your concerns up with me directly, instead of burying them on another user's talk page. --BMF54123 01:50, 4 January 2013 (EST)

Yeah, My apologies for that little outburst, just got so stressed because of my life outside TCRF. I'm fine with being corrected, even if it was a little humor, like what I did to the Sonic 3 page. Just want to help. TheRoflGuy 17:00, 9 January 2013 (PST)

It was kind of you to apologize, TheRoflGuy. I'm glad you think I'm nice as well! No one here has a personal vendetta against you, we're just all committed to making the wiki as accurate as possible. When people edit things that need some adjusting, it's not personal. People just visit the Recent Changes page to check out what the latest edits are, it doesn't mean they're following or watching anyone in particular. In fact, we'd love you to join us in fixing any factual errors you see, if you haven't been already. :) Welcome back to the wiki. --GlitterBerri 20:14, 9 January 2013 (EST)

MAME sounds

Silly question, have you tried using RBelmont's m1 program to extract game audio? It's not perfect and it's kinda outdated, but it could work. I used it to rip some stuff a bit ago. // Foxhack 21:16, 5 January 2013 (EST)

I was never able to do anything with RBelmont's version on Linux after it starts up; maybe I'm doing something wrong. I also tried getting it from the original source, but his site doesn't work (every page redirects to the home page). Can M1 do everything as a batch operation? - Andlabs 21:20, 5 January 2013 (EST)
Ah, shoot. I don't use a command-line version, I use a frontend (BridgeM1) on Windows. :( Dangit. Also, er, this is his site now. Emuhype hasn't been updated in a loooooooooooooong time. // Foxhack 22:40, 5 January 2013 (EST)
Also, I just loaded the game in BridgeM1 and the playlist contains a list of all the sound codes you're researching. If you don't mind, I'll add them to your Galaxy Force 2 sandbox page, at the bottom, so I don't clutter up your talk page and you edit it as you want. :D // Foxhack 22:48, 5 January 2013 (EST)
Thanks for the updated link; the MAME FAQ needs to be updated. As for the list, I know one error (it's "ground crew" not "round 2") but I did notice the list when I tried M1 last. Thanks again - Andlabs 23:08, 5 January 2013 (EST)

About your MAME Slowdown

Hey, I just saw that your MAME is slowing down. I recommend MAME 0.146 for 2D games. 2D games run perfectly without lag or sound loops. As for 3D games, They run EXTREMELY Laggy and the sounds loop for a while and it's AWFUL! But I think that's just my computer chugging to process the game, or I just picked a bad ROM dump of Time Crisis 2 XD. Anyways, I recommend it to you. TheRoflGuy 12:11, 14 January 2013 (EST)

You probably won't see it but I figured it out: it was using software rendering by default instead of OpenGL. Thanks anyway though - Andlabs 19:50, 13 February 2013 (EST)

title

can I have some help? I did a page of WWF wrestlemania but the title screen did not show up it just said no title. it is saved under Wwf.png could you fix this?

You will need to reupload the file under a different name, such as WWF WrestleMania (NES)-title.png (with that name, it will show up automatically). Then we can delete the original image. You will need to upload it through Special:Upload again. Thanks! - Andlabs 19:27, 5 May 2013 (EDT)

Why you's borkin' up templates?

So, I see you's borkin' up templates :P What exactly are you trying to do? 404: User Not Found (talk) 19:35, 5 May 2013 (EDT)

We need Extension:VariablesExtension and Extension:Loops for the template I am making here (which BMF54123 requested in IRC) - Andlabs 19:37, 5 May 2013 (EDT)
Oooh, looks neat! Go bug uh....whatshisface...the guy who owns this place (can't believe I forgot who created TCRF! D:) to install the stuff :P 404: User Not Found (talk) 19:38, 5 May 2013 (EDT)

wwe

ok than how do I add it to the category of WWE/F games?

You will need to not only include he template in the page (which you already did) but also edit the template itself; in this case, Template:WWE series. - Andlabs 20:24, 5 May 2013 (EDT)

Doom64 Debug

I suggest contacting Kaiser/Samuel Villarreal about this, he reverse engineered Doom64 to do the Doom64EX engine. However, just to be clear, you don't mean the "Features" menu, do you? If so, that can be unlocked through normal gameplay, by completing the secret Hectic level the hard way. --Dragonsbrethren (talk) 22:19, 16 December 2013 (EST)

It doesn't appear to be the Features menu, at least not from what GameFAQs makes of it (I can try a password in a bit), but I mean
DEBUG
TEXTURE TEST
WALL BLOCKING
LOCK MONSTERS
SCREENSHOT
MAP EVERYTHING
MACRO PEEK
MUSIC TEST
WARP TO FUN
- Andlabs (talk) 22:22, 16 December 2013 (EST)
Yep, that's definitely not the Features menu. The only ones of those present in it is MAP EVERYTHING and WARP TO FUN. --Dragonsbrethren (talk) 22:56, 16 December 2013 (EST)
Cool, thanks. (devin got a hold of Kaiser and I put his response in while you were typing that.) What does WARP TO FUN do, out of curiosity? - Andlabs (talk) 22:58, 16 December 2013 (EST)

Cal Ripken Jr. Baseball (Genesis)

Do you know if the SNES title has the same text? Thanks. --Rikisanmaster (talk) 05:46, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
