"Beta" Filenames

Hey, I'm glad you're trying to be helpful and all, but there's no need to stick the "rename" template on every single file with "Beta" in its name. That template is for vague/misleading filenames that *need* renaming. While we don't care much for terms like "Alpha" and "Beta", in filenames, it makes no real difference, and is more trouble than it's worth to rename them. -YK YK-sig.png 00:11, 26 October 2011 (EDT)

SDK strings

they are the same for each other DS game compiled with the same SDK not specific to particular game at all, in other case you should add the complete romset with with the same devtext template ;)--Cah4e3 15:49, 16 December 2011 (EST)

Redirects

Is it really necessary to create a redirect for every single possible variation of a game's name? Seriously? --BMF54123 18:49, 2 January 2012 (EST)

Sorry, I will only do it when it is necessary. --AttackedbyGlitch

Title Screens

I notice that you seem to forget taking screenshots of several games' title screens (i.e. Club Penguin, the Suite Life of Zack and Cody games, Lego City: Construction). I'm confused as to why this is. If it is difficult, I could take screenshots of them for you. --From: divingkataetheweirdo 22:56, 12 February 2012 (EST)

Microsoft Pinball Arcade

Normally in retail version of Microsoft Pinball Arcade in Haunted House table after hitting 200k points it will operate normally without any interruption. After copying trial version files of Haunted House over retail version files of HH, after hitting said limit it will show a window, which is not seen in normal gameplay on that table. If you have trial and retail version of Microsoft Pinball Arcade you can trigger said window by replacing retail version files for Haunted House by files for exactly same table, but from trial version(after making backup of original files). After that run game normally and select Haunted House and hit 200,000 points or more, and you will get it. After that compare it with normal trial version's behavior by hitting 200k limit on Haunted House. If you can check launcher's files via resource editor and do some researching. --Titanic4 16:22, 14 February 2012 (EST)

However, putting "code" in the Bob template means that the game has unused source code. Microsoft Pinball Arcade had an unused dialog, NOT source code. --AttackedbyGlitch 17:04, 14 February 2012 (EST)

Administrative matters

Could you please let admins handle things like page deletion? We were already discussing what to do with the KoF2001 page before you came along and gutted it (which is pointless, by the way, because it leaves behind an ugly, empty shell of a page). --BMF54123 13:04, 17 February 2012 (EST)

KOF '96 characters

This is the first I've seen of anyone mentioning there are 13 unused characters. What's that all about? // Foxhack 20:38, 12 May 2012 (EDT)

Oh wait, I thought you meant the arcade version! Sorry. Still, that's interesting. Are you sure they're not used in one of the usual CHR swapping tricks pirate cart makers use to trick people into thinking it's an all new game? // Foxhack 20:44, 12 May 2012 (EDT)
I found the information on the unused characters here. Based on what they article says, only their HUD icons (and names?) remain in the game. I'm not sure if they're used in a CHR swap though. --AttackedbyGlitch 21:05, 12 May 2012 (EDT)
There's always the chance of there being a different, undumped version of the game out there. Also the JY logo kinda resembles Orochi's chest markings... // Foxhack 21:23, 12 May 2012 (EDT)

Notability

I've noticed that a lot of your pages and additions lately are really stretching the definition of "notability." You don't need to create a new page every time you find a couple of placeholder words or meaningless numbers in a Flash game; you're just cluttering the game listings with uninteresting fluff.

I've also noticed that you frequently omit title screens from your articles. Taking a screenshot and cropping the relevant area only takes a couple of minutes at most. Please try to put forth just a little more effort in the future! --BMF54123 19:37, 15 June 2012 (EDT)

Doesn't seem like you read this, so I've bolded it for emphasis. Seriously, just take a few minutes and grab a title screen. It's not hard. --BMF54123 00:40, 6 July 2012 (EDT)
I usually have reasons for omitting the title screen, for example, Collapse! Blast is a Facebook game and it shows my real name on the title screen, several of the CD-i games wouldn't emulate the title screen properly, and some of the PC games won't run on my current computer. I'll probably upload title screen for Insaniquarium when I've finished more of the article. --AttackedbyGlitch 10:15, 6 July 2012 (EDT)

Pokemon Black & Blue

Sorry, but I refuse to feature a game that promotes what is essentially a terrorist organization on this site. --BMF54123 19:07, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

OK, I completely understand. --AttackedbyGlitch 19:08, 10 October 2012 (EDT)

Uhhhh

Some of those images you just uploaded for Tiny Tower... Full resolution‎ (1,342,185,474 × 735,425,407 pixels, file size: 1 KB, MIME type: image/png) --Xk-sig.png Xkeeper (talk) 01:54, 31 January 2013 (EST)
It's the iPhone's PNG optimization, I'm working on deoptimizing them. --AttackedbyGlitch 01:57, 31 January 2013 (EST)

Super Mario Bros. 2 Prototype ROM

I can't seem to download it from here: File:Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA) (Prototype).nes - Arflech 18:17, 3 February 2013 (EST)

Hmmm... that's strange. Maybe you should let Xkeeper know about it. --AttackedbyGlitch 18:27, 3 February 2013 (EST)

DKP 2001

Not only does that page need formatting and updating but I think there is enough info for DKP 2001 to start its own page as shown here. If no body gets around to that by the end of May I may do the formatting and updating myself. --Cuber456 02:31, 22 March 2013 (EDT)

Oi

I'm sorry for undoing your Bob fix to the Sanctum of Slime article. I know we're not supposed to undo edits unless there's a good reason... and in my opinion the article still needs major work before it can be shown to the general public. I mean, the bob would make the game show up in the platform and content categories when browsing them and it's just not ready (I still have tons of images to add and verify that are not used!) So yeah. But, I'm not opposed to someone fixing up my awkward wording in the page or fixing up the layouts, I'm really bad at that and welcome any help in that department. // Foxhack 15:01, 27 March 2013 (EDT)

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini Land Mayhem

On the content to expand page, you said there were various unused things in this game, how do you know/ any more information? --Hiccup 02:48, 16 April 2013 (EDT)

Hmmm... I think I remember seeing a bit of unused content with Tinke, which I unfortunately can't use right now, because I'm on a Mac. I'll check it on my PC when I get home. --AttackedbyGlitch 13:14, 16 April 2013 (EDT)

Image Captions

Could you please leave the image captions alone, unless there is an actual problem with them? I'm fine with removing potentially offensive "jokes" and speculation, but you shouldn't be removing or replacing captions just because you don't like them. --BMF54123 17:05, 4 May 2013 (EDT)

Labelling all that stuff for deletion

I'm not sure, but I think labelling all those images for deletion because they're misnamed is a bad idea. This situation with misnamed files is something better left to an admin (according to ze peeps in the IRC). 404: User Not Found (talk) 01:18, 6 May 2013 (EDT)

I didn't label any images for deletion. :/ --AttackedbyGlitch 01:20, 6 May 2013 (EDT)
O_o Woah, I must've read something wrong. My bad! 404: User Not Found (talk) 01:25, 6 May 2013 (EDT)

Conker's

Doesn't change the fact that almost every single gam includes the title in the game code, it's a wiki standard. Your desire to edit war out such things is childish.--SomewhereSouthOfHeaven 00:07, 13 May 2013 (EDT)

Any idea why pages are being listed in object category?

Category:Games with unused objects

--Hiccup 12:25, 19 June 2013 (EDT)

Nope. I tried to fix it, but that didn't seem to do anything. --AttackedbyGlitch 12:27, 19 June 2013 (EDT)
You're making new categories that mess with the bob screens, adding them to that category. --Jeff 11:32, 19 June 2013 (CDT)
How are they messing with the bobscreen? Neither me or Hiccup (who added the object category) touched any bobscreen related code. --AttackedbyGlitch 12:37, 19 June 2013 (EDT)
MediaWiki is slow. Just wait and they'll disappear - Andlabs 12:39, 19 June 2013 (EDT)
DON'T TOUCH THE BOB AGAIN. --BMF54123 06:14, 20 June 2013 (EDT)

File Talk Pages

Instead of creating individual talk pages for files, could you instead voice your concerns on the talk page for the article they appear in? Having to delete a bunch of files AND their talk pages sucks. --BMF54123 20:49, 8 July 2013 (EDT)

Alright, I'll make sure to do that. --AttackedbyGlitch 21:07, 8 July 2013 (EDT)
