Portal 2 PAX demo

What did you mean by the following, which you added to the Portal 2 page? "The PAX demo's relist files has these sounds included in them, suggesting these were also only done for the demo." --Hiccup (talk) 13:29, 21 December 2017 (EST)

I mean that if you look in the relists folder in Portal 2's game files, and use Notepad++ or anything else to view the lst and snd files, you'll see mentions of those sounds suggesting that they had an intended purpose there. The lst and snd files I'm referring to are the mp_coop_start_pax ones. Blayer98 (talk) 14:50, 21 December 2017 (EST)

Nintendo Zone titles

Hi. Do you have custom firmware on your 3DS? If you do, could you use GodMode9 to list the titles installed on your NAND and SD? I'm asking because you said you had used Nintendo Zone I wanted to know if it installed titles permanently until it is next used. --Hiccup (talk) 03:25, 21 March 2018 (EDT)

I do but that 3DS doesn’t have the Nintendo Zone viewer app visible on the HOME Menu, my other normal 3DS does. Afaik, Nintendo Zone viewer will only appears on a 3DS if you go to a hotspot that allows access to a Nintendo Zone viewer app. I simply use the Nintendo Zone viewer app whenever I reach a Nintendo Zone hotspot. Also what do you mean by “titles”? Do you mean applications on the 3DS? If so, the app never downloads any games/apps, and things like the StreetPass Week theme exclusive to Nintendo Zone are/were given out via a code you entered in either the Theme Shop or Nintendo eShop. Actually, even if you don't have CFW you can still list titles using GodMod9 by flashing it to a ds flash cart. So, in your experience, does Nintendo Zone not have any playable demos? --Hiccup (talk) 13:38, 21 March 2018 (EDT)
Nintendo Zone only gave out any demos via Nintendo eShop codes which you could get when you accessed the Nintendo Zone page, but Nintendo Zone itself never downloaded any demos directly. Although games could get event DLC in Animal Crossing New Leaf by connecting to a Nintendo Zone. Blayer98 (talk) 08:45, 23 March 2018 (EDT)
I see. That probably explains why there has been so little interest in preservation. I just (in hindsight, stupidly) assumed that this kiosk setup was related to Nintendo Zone. --Hiccup (talk) 14:32, 23 March 2018 (EDT)
2 year late comment, but just to update, I no longer own a CFW 3DS as of 2018 and have no plans to return to the 3DS homebrew scene. --Blayer98 (talk) 00:09, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
