Image Guidelines

The Indiana Jones image you uploaded is in the wrong format and does not follow image naming conventions. Please read the image guidelines before uploading any more images. --BMF54123 01:46, 8 February 2013 (EST)

The image is the original file in that format.
Okay. In the future, be sure you include that information when you upload the file (ex: "This file was originally in JPEG format."), and be sure to properly name and categorize your images. Also, when responding to messages here, start your message on a new line and end it with --~~~~ (this adds your name and the current date/time). --BMF54123 03:37, 8 February 2013 (EST)

Alright, and sorry about the way I did the line. It can be a bit hard formatting on a touchscreen.

iOS Screenshots

I'm not sure if there's something wrong with your iPhone/iPod touch, but all of the iDevices I've used take screenshots in the .png format. --AttackedbyGlitch (talk) 10:45, 10 October 2013 (EDT)

The device I used was a Generation 3 iPad running ios 6.1. Do older models use a different file format maybe? --Dr. Yay (talk) 11:09, 10 October 2013 (EDT)

Tranparent Image Backgrounds

I noticed that you reuploaded an image to give it a black background. There is a way to give transparent images a background within a page: enclose the image like this: . The only catch to this is that it must be in a table, otherwise the background will extend to the far right of the page. (I will admit that there's a lot of markup I don't know, so there may be a better way to do this). I've provided an example of this below:

LMGuestLamp.png

Here's the markup I used:

You can also use Blue and Magenta to use their respective colours as the background. --Grandta13 (talk) 21:04, 8 July 2015 (EDT)

Ah, sorry. I asked on IRC if I should add the background myself and someone said yes, though I'll do what you said now. --Dr. Yay (talk) 21:24, 8 July 2015 (EDT)
It's fine, I'm not really sure how well the feature is known, I just happened to see someone use it on a page. Also, while we're on the subject of images, I would highly recommend PNGGauntlet for image compression if you're using Windows. You can drag and drop images and compress them in bulk or one at a time, and it has the added bonus of converting BMPs to compressed PNGs in a single step (just drag and drop them like normal). You can even add images from different directories and compress them all at once. The image you uploaded earlier could be made 5KB smaller with PNGGauntlet. --Grandta13 (talk) 21:44, 8 July 2015 (EDT)

Here's the solution you were looking for by the way, Grandta13.—Chpexo-sig.pngChpexo 02:17, 12 November 2015 (EST)

GIF Animations in Gimp

A couple days ago I saw that you uploaded a Temmie GIF on the Undertale page and saw the frames were stacking on top of one another instead of replacing. To fix the problem I used the image editor Gimp, and I'll explain how to fix this problem for future reference (sorry if you already figured this out already). Once you open the image in the program, export it. Then check the "save animation as" box and click the drop down menu that has "don't care" and change it to "one frame per layer". Press the export button and you're good. —Chpexo-sig.pngChpexo 02:17, 12 November 2015 (EST)

Tower of Druaga - FDS Version

Do you know where I can find the FDS version? I can't find any reference to this. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 15:44, 23 December 2015 (EST)

I'm not sure exactly, I've seen multiple places say it was released on FDS too but I can't seem to find much more info on it. --Dr. Yay (talk) 23:54, 23 December 2015 (EST)
