This is a sub-page of User talk:Inkstar.
My talk page was pretty bad a few years ago from me being pretty dumb so I've archived it to clear up my main page.
Spacing
Please don't edit pages just to add/remove "extra" spacing. It doesn't actually impact anything. -- Xkeeper (talk) 20:02, 26 March 2018 (EDT)
SMS Booklet scans
You forgot to add a page that shows Mario with the Rocket Nozzle and Bloopads in a different place in the water, presumably the 1st Episode of Ricco Harbor. I don't have the booklet near me so I don't know the page number. Also, please please please remember to tag the image as {{scan|GameCube}}. Thanks.--CeilingFan (talk) 05:35, 3 April 2018 (EDT)
Important
It is not my job to tell you these things, but I will as a fellow contributor so you don't make these mistakes as much (or again). First off, it seems you have never even bothered with the rules as your files are never tagged and you're adding info where it shouldn't be added. Tagging your files is vital and early stuff in things like the manual go on the pre-release page (and I've been told they need to be cropped out). You also referred to early footage as "beta". I get real sick of telling people this, but Beta =/= early content or prototype, nor should you try and guess what a specific build is in terms of pre-alpha, alpha, and beta. Please don't feel bad. We all make mistakes, and I'm a great example of that. This is a community effort after all.--Super-Xnot (talk) 06:01, 3 April 2018 (EDT)
One more thing...
Just so you don't waste your time, I would like you to know the Manual Oddity page will be deleted as well as all of the files related to it as they are not needed. As I've said, Manual stuff goes on the pre-release page and needs to be cropped (from what I've been told). Your work on the page is not in vain, all of the observations will be moved to the pre-release page and can be continued from there.(CHANGE OF PLANS!!!! The page will stay in pre-release and you can continue to add scans)--Super-Xnot (talk) 08:04, 3 April 2018 (EDT)
- It can be turned into a subpage for prerelease page like how the Luigi's Mansion prerelease page has subpages for the different versions.--CeilingFan (talk) 08:25, 3 April 2018 (EDT)
Second thought
I gave it a little more thought and now that I think about it we don't need the full scans or the sub-page. I skimmed through the manual and all we need are the screenshots, as that's the only noteworthy info. It would be a waste to have full scans just for the screenshots and nothing more, as well as a sub-page just for that. The observations will stay, they are vital. (Editing screenshots, scans, etc. is also against the wiki's quality standards btw). If you are also interested, you can join the official discord channel for easier communication and to just see what people are up to.--Super-Xnot (talk) 19:10, 4 April 2018 (EDT)
Vandalism
What? Don't add nonsensical translations. This is a warning. Next time, you'll be likely to face disciplinary action. --GlitterBerri (talk) 08:39, 24 June 2018 (EDT)
Luigi's Mansion animation viewing
Hi. How did you view and record that unused Lydia animation in Luigi's Mansion? --Hiccup (talk) 13:19, 17 October 2018 (EDT)
- It's a bit of a process, but here we go... So first off, this was captured in-game since there's still no external model/animation viewers for Luigi's Mansion. I simply replaces Toad's model (kinopio internally) with Lydia's model (mother internally). Then I re-coded Toad's event file (event17) to play a different animation every time a button is pressed. Since Toad only has 3 animations (cry, talk, wait) and Toad's event won't call any of Lydia's 8 animations, I had to rename 3 of Lydia's animation at a time to match Toad's 3 animation names, then call either "CRY," "TALK," or "WAIT" in the event. I used Bandicam to capture the gameplay, then ScreenToGif to crop out just the animation and export it as a high quality .gif file.
- My apologise if this is too hard or too much to follow. I spent a full day learning the ghostly ways of Luigi and his internal Mansion, and I'm going still trying to learn to code the event files. I also plan on uploading more unused animations very soon... if I can find more... :P

Super Mario Sunshine Duplicate Message
If you know for a fact that the duplicate message in dolpic1.bmg isn't from the original dump, feel free to remove it, but the duplicate might be in the actual file, rather than an error by an editor here. Rolled back for now, but feel free to reinstate if you can confirm this. --GlitterBerri (talk) 21:01, 27 January 2019 (EST)
SMS inaccessible yellow toad
Regarding the yellow toad in Delfino Plaza that falls below the ground - is his text basically unused because of this, in versions before the European one? Or is the text used elsewhere? I think its probably worth explaining on the page. --Hiccup (talk) 09:31, 27 July 2019 (EDT)
- If by "text" you're referring to his dialogue, yes it does actually go unused by other characters in the non-PAL versions! Thanks for asking, will update the page soon. --Inkstar (talk) 18:01, 27 July 2019 (EDT)

The unused goop map and building collision makes me wonder what the original design and objective of the level was. Not sure if there is anything else hidden to be found in there though.--CeilingFan (talk) 00:16, 7 November 2019 (EST)
