Tagging Images

Make sure you tag your images when uploading them. --M64m (talk) 13:10, 22 March 2015 (EDT)

OK, I wasn't sure how to do that but I'll do it next time... Larsenv (talk) 15:01, 22 March 2015 (EDT)

A small request

Hello, I noticed in your edit here you gave the summary, "Added the JAP data". The word "Jap" is an offensive racial slur, so please use either "JP" or "JPN" to abbreviate "Japan" or "Japanese". Thank you!

Bast (talk) 21:07, 9 May 2015 (EDT)

OK. (I forgot to reply to this...) Larsenv (talk) 18:16, 28 June 2015 (EDT)

Midway Arcade Treasures

Believe it or not, all of those movies are used in the game. On the game selection menu, press Y for a particular game. Many games, like Robotron or 720, do have interviews. In fact, I'm curious why you thought they were unused. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 17:51, 28 June 2015 (EDT)

Thanks. I thought they were unused since they were only 320x240 (That sounds really small for even a GameCube game.) and the things they said sounded like they could confuse average users.
I never even loaded the game up until you sent me this, but I just checked and you're right - the interviews are viewable.
Well that was a good hour or two that I wasted working on all of this, but at least I have all of the videos now... :/ Larsenv (talk) 18:16, 28 June 2015 (EDT)
No problem. In scenarios like this, it's best that you play the game before you make the article. At least watch what people have captured on YT (which is how I knew about the interviews in the first place). Do keep in mind the low resolution is likely to fit these movies onto the GameCube disc. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 18:32, 28 June 2015 (EDT)
Yeah, the thing was that my friend told me and converted the videos IIRC, so that's why I even posted it...Larsenv (talk) 21:56, 28 June 2015 (EDT)

South Park and Tiger Woods 99

I honestly found your edit somewhat odd. It should be noted the reason why it was differentiated the article. There's an earlier 1992 film Parker and Stone made called The Spirit of Christmas, which is referred as "Jesus vs. Frosty". The one on the Tiger Woods 99 disc is the 1995 Spirit of Christmas, commonly referred to among the South Park fandom as "Jesus vs. Santa". --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 21:35, 3 August 2015 (EDT)

Ah, it said "Jesus vs. Santa" on it instead of "Jesus vs. Frosty". Fixed now, I forgot about that part of it haha. Larsenv (talk) 21:40, 3 August 2015 (EDT)

WarioWare sound files

You just claimed that the sound files s_v_WARIO_WIN_YOKI, s_v_App_Morning_1, s_v_App_Hello_1, and s_v_App_Night_1 are used on the main menu. Could you please specify exactly where and how these files are used? --TheMonkeyBob (talk) 14:17, 30 September 2016 (EDT)

The one with Wario saying "Yahoo" I remember being there after one of the microgames was successfully completed. The ones with Jimmy are played on the selection screen on the main menu while one of Jimmy's levels are highlighted. Larsenv (talk) 21:29, 30 September 2016 (EDT)

Alright then, good to know you have no idea what you are talking about. Just because things sound similar, does not mean they are the same. Next time, you should cross check the reference address with the sound file list to see if they match up. As you are unknowingly referring to completely different sound files, I am reverting the change. --TheMonkeyBob (talk) 23:51, 30 September 2016 (EDT)

WarioWare: Smooth Moves tpx files

Hi. I see that you have ripped tpx image files from WarioWare: Smooth Moves and put them on vg-resource. How did you do that? Is there a tool for it? --Hiccup (talk) 15:31, 11 August 2017 (EDT)

The tpx files are just standard tpl files. I use Wiimms SZS Tools (http://szs.wiimm.de) to convert them to png. tpxp files are compressed with LZ compression and need to be decompressed to convert to a standard TPL though.Larsenv (talk) 15:56, 11 August 2017 (EDT)

Kirby's Epic Yarn .gfa files

Hey there! I've noticed that you uploaded some graphics from Kirby's Epic Yarn's .gfa files. I've been wanting to dig around Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn and I wanted to ask, what's the tool that you used to extract the graphics from there? -Vyroz (talk) 00:12, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

I used this QuickBMS script. http://aluigi.org/papers/bms/others/kirby_epic_yarn.bms Larsenv (talk) 14:28, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Alright, thank you so much! Vyroz (talk) 18:45, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
