Prerelease articles and prototypes

Please read our rules and guidelines and rules for prerelease pages. In particular:

  • "Prerelease" articles are not for information about prototype builds
  • We do not cover prototype builds which are not actually available to the public.

--Devin (talk) 16:30, 15 February 2015 (EST)

Please read the guidelines again before you make any more edits. As I mentioned already, the "Don't Add This Stuff" section of our guidlines pages says "Unreleased games and prototypes for which no publicly-available ROM or disc image exists." Until an actual ROM of the Super Mario Kart prototype exists and is publicly available, we do not cover it. --Devin (talk) 18:02, 15 February 2015 (EST)

Image Guidelines

Please remember to add an appropriate tag to each image you upload. -Ehm (talk) 17:16, 25 May 2017 (EDT)

Oh sorry, i will fix this. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kowski (talk • contribs)
Thanks. Indent your reply by adding a colon before it, and then sign your comment with ~~~~ at the end. This will add your name and a timestamp. -Ehm (talk) 18:13, 25 May 2017 (EDT)
Also, the PC category is officially deprecated. Please categorize your images either as being from a DOS or Windows game instead of PC game. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 15:21, 14 September 2017 (EDT)
Oh, sorry for that. I will fix this now. Kowski (talk) 15:29, 14 September 2017 (EDT)

SMG2 - World Map Invisible Points

Re. this - the points are represented by the light-yellow circles in the images, right? If so that should be specified on the page, I think. --Hiccup (talk) 18:21, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

Oh, yeah. Then I'll phrase it better right away. Kowski (talk) 12:34, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. Although, looking at them again, it might be better to use a different color if possible, or highlight them in some other way. --Hiccup (talk) 16:47, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

Super Mario Galaxy - Unused Cutscene Data

Might it be possible to play back these cutscenes? E.g. does it contain position data, or just a list of animations? --Hiccup (talk) 15:35, 30 August 2022 (UTC)

It does not contain positions, unfortunately, because they were part of the removed levels. But the objects, animations and its length are present, so I could possibly put a short gif on the article. --Kowski (talk) 16:20, 12 March 2023 (UTC)

V.Smile Music Rips?

Was wondering how you ripped the music from the V,Smile game roms since I saw you posted some on the page for Learnin' Wheels, and no one online has a way to do such I think the music was in a midi like format. Teh supar hackr (talk) 06:16, 2 March 2023 (UTC)

I recorded a video by using the frame dump option of the RetroArch version of MAME. Then opened the dumped video with Audacity to get the clean audio.Kowski (talk) 16:18, 12 March 2023 (UTC)

Anyway you could provide a clean rip for the Intro Theme for Shrek's Dragon Tale?

I was only able to find a capture card rip from a gameplay video of the game. BlastoiseTCRF (talk) 00:04, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

Sure, will do it soon. Maybe the game has even more stolen songs in the files. Kowski (talk) 13:36, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
