Sonic 3 Proto Sound Differences Page

Hello! I wanted to reach out as I had noticed you added spaces for all the tracks on the page that weren't yet in it, but then seem to have added one (the results screen music) to the page with playback of VGM rips. I was the one to go through this page on my Genesis a while back and record all the proto and final songs on real hardware, and I wanted to check if you had done the VGM thing for any of the other tracks on the page, or just the results music. I looked at the edit history and didn't see any additional VGM recordings you added but I thought I'd double-check with you because I could have glossed over something. I plan to go through and add the missing songs in the near future like I did in the past (a week or something) so... yea. Thanks! -- Luna (talk) 02:11, 29 May 2022 (UTC)

Oh, you're welcome! Double-checked and it seemed I only uploaded the results music... although I'm wondering if the version you recorded of the final is of the Sonic & Knuckles version or the Sonic 3 version, cause I just noticed that it may be fast in Sonic 3 alone as well, from a video of theme comparisons between Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles and it left me feeling more confused considering that the version in the proto is fast as well, which made the note of "Slightly faster than final" rather moot, but only in terms of Sonic 3 and not Sonic & Knuckles... darn. --MaidenTree (talk) 09:22, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure my recordings are only from Sonic 3, as they aren't supposed to be comparisons to the final versions of the tracks (for tracks that were in S&K) but rather the final versions of the tracks as stored in Sonic 3 standalone... At least, that's how I understood it. I can go through and redo the S&K tracks with S3+S&K lock-on if that's what you understand to make more sense, but since it's a Sonic 3 proto page I assumed the comparisons were only supposed to be to the versions stored in the final version of the standalone S3 release. Also, thanks for the info, I'll get to uploading the rest sometime soon. -- Luna (talk) 03:36, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
Honestly not sure, kinda thinking about wanting to add a Sonic and Knuckles column to the mix (or split the Final column into two, for Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles) but... there's like already like 6 columns here already... standalone works- OH WAIT I just checked and I got confused, I thought you already overwritten mine since your first message. But yeah, standalone Sonic 3 works. --MaidenTree (talk) 22:25, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

Cursing

Be civil and don't curse at people. This is wiki, anything you add can be changed or deleted by anyone. ReyVGM (talk) 02:56, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

sorry about that, you're right, i did it in the wrong order when I did something similar years ago, content first, then the underlying links, I don't know why I got so angry over something like that --MaidenTree (talk) 03:10, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

Category:Games developed by PopCap Games

I see you have added revisional differences to Alchemy Deluxe's title screens. I do kind of like the progression of the PopCap logo. I replaced a JPEG for Zuma Deluxe, but my replacement uses an older version of the logo (Zuma Deluxe 1.0) instead of newer logo found in the JPEG. Seems like a good opportunity to document a Zuma revisional difference, if you have the game revision, of course. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) 05:02, 28 June 2024 (UTC)

Oh, and what do you think about including what Talk:Zuma Deluxe (Windows, Mac OS X) and Talk:AstroPop Deluxe mention? --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) 05:02, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
Yeah! you could definitely include those on the AstroPop Deluxe and Zuma Deluxe (Windows, Mac OS X) pages, as well as revisional differences of Zuma Deluxe. --MaidenTree (talk) 18:09, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
OK, but can you replace File:ZumaDeluxeLoadingScreen.jpg with a PNG version? I don't have that version. I guess someone else can take the easter eggs down if it doesn't fit the spirit of The Cutting Room Floor. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) 22:49, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
oh, got it, this should do it (I have it on Steam and that's the title screen it uses) File:ZumaDeluxeLoadingScreen-latest.png --MaidenTree (talk) 03:11, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
That'll do. Thanks for that! I wonder what other PopCap Games need those type of revisional difference additions. Most of my downloads came direct from the website over a decade ago. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) 04:58, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
