Image Guidelines

You need to upload images at their native size: not resampled, not cropped. For the Genesis, this is usually either 320x240 or 256x240. They can be resized in the article if necessary. --BMF54123 16:39, 8 October 2012 (EDT)

I wasn't sure how to do that. How would I resize it to 256X240 in the article? Maxwell85 16:41, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
For images that small, we usually don't bother resizing them at all, but for larger ones (640x480 and up) you can add the size after the image filename. For example: [[File:Blah.png|320px|left|stupid comment goes here]] --BMF54123 16:45, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
Here are the correct proper resolutions for the Genesis:

NTSC: either 256x224 or 320x224

PAL: one of 256x224, 256x240, 320x224, 320x240

The game decides which resolution to use. Which emulator are you using? - Andlabs 16:50, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
I think I'll go get a new screenshot and keep it the proper size to begin with now that I know what it is. Thanks for the info. Maxwell85 16:53, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
Please tell me the emulator you are using. Emulators can be instructed to produce correct screenshots themselves; you should not have to edit the screenshots to work (this will usually result in the wrong image or not remove other assorted filters like Fast Blur) - Andlabs 16:55, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
Kega Fusion 3.51 Maxwell85 17:00, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
You need to update to Fusion 3.61 or newer and set the "screenshot options" to "raw". --BMF54123 17:26, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
Reminder that these guidelines apply to all consoles, including NES. Please take shots at native resolution, with the proper NTSC palette, in PNG format. --BMF54123 (talk) 00:19, 9 January 2015 (EST)
