Image Guidelines
You need to upload images at their native size: not resampled, not cropped. For the Genesis, this is usually either 320x240 or 256x240. They can be resized in the article if necessary. --BMF54123 16:39, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
- I wasn't sure how to do that. How would I resize it to 256X240 in the article? Maxwell85 16:41, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
- For images that small, we usually don't bother resizing them at all, but for larger ones (640x480 and up) you can add the size after the image filename. For example: [[File:Blah.png|320px|left|stupid comment goes here]] --BMF54123 16:45, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
- Here are the correct proper resolutions for the Genesis:
NTSC: either 256x224 or 320x224
PAL: one of 256x224, 256x240, 320x224, 320x240
The game decides which resolution to use. Which emulator are you using? - Andlabs 16:50, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
- I think I'll go get a new screenshot and keep it the proper size to begin with now that I know what it is. Thanks for the info. Maxwell85 16:53, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
- Please tell me the emulator you are using. Emulators can be instructed to produce correct screenshots themselves; you should not have to edit the screenshots to work (this will usually result in the wrong image or not remove other assorted filters like Fast Blur) - Andlabs 16:55, 8 October 2012 (EDT)
