Super Smash Bros. Unused Sounds
Hey, just saw your Sandbox page and thought I might as well share my knowledge on the game to help deduce which sounds are used. So the following ones I know for a fact are used:
1st sound down (the Blue Falcon driving away)
4th sound down (Blastoise's Hydro Pump)
8th sound down (Snorlax rising up, or one of Master Hands' rising sounds, I HAVE heard this one)
"Arm Cannon Noise" (fairly certain that's just Samus' intro animation, coming out of the Save Station)
Second DK "hurt" clip (that's his normal KO sound, which ingame is barely audible. The top one is definitely unused though)
Pikachu's voice clip (that's just it asleep iirc..)
Some of the ones which may be used, but might not be:
The Fox voice (I'm fairly certain this is a ledge grabbing sound and thus why it's barely audible, but it could just as likely be unused. It's not Japanese exclusive though, I'd know having played the Japanese version myself)
The faint sound under where it says "Samus charging her arm cannon etc." (I think it could be the clouds disappearing on Yoshi's Island, but don't quote me 100%)
Star Roddish sound (I'm pretty sure that's a light Star Rod sound, or maybe a faint sound efect from something like Starmie's Swift attack or Kirby spitting out an opponent as a star which is very hard to make out)
The rest are to my knowledge unused. Thanks very much for your tireless work on the SSB64 article!

- I will add the DK "hurt" clip to the SSB page, as it is, as you mentioned, definitively unused. Also, I'm very sure that the clip under "Samus charging, bla bla" is used when the clouds disappear in Yoshi's Island, again as you mentioned. Thanks A LOT for helping me out! Super Smash Bros. sound no. 157
I think it's used for the clouds on Yoshi's island disappearing, as seen here, but I'm not sure, never having played the game. -- FanOfRosalina2007 (talk) 19:44, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
