SOR 2 article

Here, this may help you some in your SOR 2 article writing: http://soronline.net/sor2_bk2beta.htm I helped contribute to that site as you'll see if you scroll down. Glisp 08:44, 2 July 2012 (EDT)

Master System screenshots

This is what a Master System screenshot should look like, at its proper resolution and colors; yours appear to be squished, filtered, and with loads of black spaceo n the top and bottom. - Andlabs 20:26, 14 January 2013 (EST)

Thanks. A few more things change, but at your advice I decided to toss out the old pics. There should be some very obscure quasi-official ways to see this Japanese mode. Likely using a western Master System adapter on the rare Linguaphone Education Gear (Japan's Multi-Mega relative). Theclaw 20:59, 14 January 2013 (EST)

Spaces in Bobs

Please don't edit articles just to remove spaces from the Bob template. There's no policy on whether spaces should or shouldn't be used; it doesn't impact on how the article is shown to the reader, but some people like to use them to make the Bob more readable in the edit page rather than cramped together without spaces. Conversely, some people prefer not to use them. It's just a personal preference, there's no need to make all Bobs use spaces in the same way. Thanks. — Vague / Rant 09:51, 22 March 2013 (EDT)

Time Hollow

Uh, just wondering... -how- do you access the additional languages in the US version of the game if they're not available? :) // Foxhack 11:57, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

No clue yet. All I did was load a savestate of the language screen, doesn't tell me anything about what values are used. Theclaw 16:19, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

... My point was, you should mention that in the article, and add a "Todo" with something like "Find out how to access this via other means" or something like that. // Foxhack 17:30, 14 April 2013 (EDT)
Alright. It's not a good means, since you can lose saved data messing around with states. Theclaw 17:39, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

"Unused" Languages

I've added a new rule regarding inaccessible language settings in games. Please read it.

Some concerns were raised in IRC over whether these alternate languages count as "unused" material if they were actually used in other countries. It has become increasingly common for developers to include multiple language files in every release of a game, and to simply change the language based on either an internal setting or the region of the console it's running on. I would rather not fill up the wiki with games that do this, as it is neither unused or particularly noteworthy behavior.

However, if you do find a setting or file for a language that did not have an official release, or significant differences between the used and unused versions of a translation, then by all means document it here. --BMF54123 18:44, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

Thanks, it was getting time consuming. Made worse by the issue I lack technical knowledge to write codes to enable them... Could always start a catalog of my own somewhere. Theclaw 19:03, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

JPEGs

Just so you know, JPEG screenshots are not allowed. They must be in PNG format. --BMF54123 (talk) 06:21, 7 April 2014 (EDT)

Oh that. Project 64 defaults to a JPEG only video plugin. Sigh... Theclaw (talk) 08:52, 7 April 2014 (EDT)

"PAL"

"PAL" is a TV format, and not a proper regional name. Please do not use it to refer to European games and consoles, especially portable ones (where the NTSC/PAL concept does not apply). --BMF54123 (talk) 04:57, 17 May 2014 (EDT)

Blanking Redirects

Please do not blank redirects, as it makes it harder for us to track down pages to be deleted. Just use the delete template and tell us if you want it to be deleted. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 21:11, 5 August 2014 (EDT)

Oops, forgot about that part. I have to pay better attention to file names when uploading. Theclaw (talk) 21:14, 5 August 2014 (EDT)

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (PC)

I noticed you're starting a The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel page (Windows version). When the game first released, I noticed there was the exclusive Japanese outfit and Arcus covers left in the game (not sure if you knew about this). Screenshots I captured of them are located here. I can't remember what the item ID values for them are anymore. According to my notes, there is also some unused weapons as well. Just thought this was some stuff to add to the page. --Punk7890 (talk) 20:35, 8 January 2019 (EST)

That's basically what I'm focusing on. My page leaves out stuff from the PS3 version I haven't yet determined to be in the Windows version.Theclaw (talk) 21:02, 8 January 2019 (EST)

Frogger (Helmet Chaos)

I noticed you've been editing the Frogger: Helmet Chaos pages. How interested are you in Frogger games in general? If you're interested in joining a Frogger data-mining community, reply to this message. User:Kneesnap (talk) 02:39, 21 February 2019 (Pacific Time)

Well I've never heard of any sort of Frogger community, but I rarely play the games.Theclaw (talk) 06:18, 21 February 2019 (EST)
