This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article? |
Whirlo is a prequel to Valkyrie no Bouken: Toki no Kagi Densetsu featuring Valkyrie's sidekick Sandra Whirlo going on a great adventure to save his son from the curse of Zouna Malix.
Test Map
A test map can be accessed by entering the password shown in the screen. Works in both versions. The text in the beginning of the area means "Test Map".
Unused Area
Entering this password in the Japanese version will take the player to a different version of Store (きょうかい, "Church"), the interior of the frozen tower in Tree Island that only appears briefly in a cutscene, suggesting that the player originally had to go all the way to the bottom to find the clerk/priest. Entering the door in the bottom will take Whirlo to the first playable area of Neverland, skipping the cutscenes. It is currently unknown if this map can be accessed in the European version.
Version Differences
Japan | Europe |
---|---|
The title screen logo was completely redone. In the Japanese version, Sandra appears moving in the "n" from his name.
Japan | Europe |
---|---|
The main character has his serious expression by default in the European version.
Many of the passwords are different between the versions. The game crashes if an invalid password that is valid in other version is entered. There are also passwords considered valid that crash in both versions. In the examples above, the first password only works in the Japanese version, while the second works in both.
Many names received different translations, and Andy had her gender changed, being the mother of Sabine/Steven in Japan and father in Europe.
