Wizard101/Unused Items
This is a sub-page of Wizard101.
Like many other games, Wizard101 has many items that are either unused or unobtainable. Some can be used by the developers, typically for testing. Some are also used specifically for giving enemies their stats. Most also don't have a required level for wearing them. Some appear to be unfinished since they were never intended to be possessed by a player.

Any Malistaire Hat
A level 50 hat that gives no stats and is just cosmetic. The name appears to come from the ability to craft hats from the Malistaire fight in DragonSpyre. It is also no auction.

QA Resist All Hat
Multiple duplicates of these exist. However, they differ in that they have different names with different stats. For instance, there's a version called QA Resist All Hat 05, 10, 25, 50 and 100. Each one gives the respective amount of both universal resistance and shadow resistance, meaning that QA Resist All Hat 100 gives 100 universal resistance and 100 shadow resistance, or effectively 100 universal resistance and 200 shadow resistance.

A level 100 robe that gives no stats and is just cosmetic. The name appears to come from the ability to craft robes from Archmagus Lorcon in Khrysalis. It is also no auction.

Appears to be an athame without any stats. There are 4 empty triangle jewel slots. Additionally, it cannot be sold, regardless of at a shop or the Bazaar in Olde Town.
M-Debuff-Fire-25-Vuln
Despite the name, this increases the fire damage that the wearer takes by 86%. An ice version also exists that increases that does the same, except for ice.
Amulets
To do: There are a lot of these, they may need to be made into their own page |
Amulet-Archmastery-Lvl100-MOB-ONLY
An enemy only amulet that grants the wearer 80 archmastery rating. Interestingly, it is listed as death, even though any school can wear it.
Any Masterpiece Charm
A level 160 amulet that gives 1 critical block rating. The name appears to come from the ability to craft Novus related amulets. It is also no auction.
Any Morganthe Amulet
A level 100 amulet that gives no stats and is just cosmetic. The name appears to come from the ability to craft amulets from the Morganthe fight in Khrysalis. It is also no auction.
Any Shadowmark Amulet
A level 50 amulet that gives no stats and is just cosmetic. The name appears to come from the ability to craft amulets from the Vesta Shadowmark fight in DragonSpyre. It is also no auction.
Damage-Amulet-All
Versions of this exist for amounts between 10 and 130, giving the appropriate amount of universal damage. There are also versions for each school between 5 and 100 in increments of 5 (5, 10, 15, ... 90, 95, 100).
M-Buff-Fire-25-Resist
Curiously, despite the name, the wearer takes increased damage from fire attacks by 90% (not 25 like the name would suggest). There is also "M-Buff-Fire-50-Resist", which does the same, except increased by 89%, and "M-Buff-Fire-90-Resist" which increases it by 87%. Ice equivalents exist for this too. Storm versions also exist, although only for 89 and 90%. A death version also exists, but only for 90%. It's possible that early in development, enemies that have a weakness to a given school would have been significantly weaker to it. None of these have models or names (showing as a blank space)
M-Debuff-30-DMG
Has no ingame name, this name is pulled from the files. This is an amulet that reduces the damage of the wearer by 30%. This was likely used to test giving enemies reduced damage, like Rattlebones in the tutorial having a reduction of 30% damage. There are also versions for -50, (used with Rattlebones' minion to reduce their damage by 50%, both of these were done to make the first 1v2 fight that the player has to solo less of a challenge) -60 and -75% (both of these are entirely unused, potentially these would have been used to further reduce their damage, although it might have been seen as a bit excessive) damage.
Obsidian Amulet
An amulet without any stats or model. May be a base for creating new amulets.
Pip-Amulet
There are 6 amulets with this name, Pip-Amulet-R01-001 through Pip-Amulet-R06-001. Respectively, they give 1 starting power pip, 2 starting power pips, 3 starting power pips, 4 starting power pips, 5 resist with 2 starting power pips and 10 resist with 3 starting power pips
QA Accuracy Amulet 100
Using the model of the fire mastery amulet, gives the player 100% accuracy as well as a locked tear and square jewel socket.

A level 160 ring that gives 1 critical block rating. The name appears to come from the ability to craft Novus related rings. It is also no auction.
Any Morganthe Sigil
A level 100 ring that gives no stats and is just cosmetic. The name appears to come from the ability to craft rings from the Morganthe fight in Khrysalis. It is also no auction.

Pip-Ring-R02-001
A ring with no model that gives the wearer a 20% increase in power pip chance. There are also other versions that give 30, 40, 50, 60 and 100 chance. The name is also blank, so this is the name used in the files.

A ring that gives 80% power pip chance, 50 incoming and outgoing healing and 17 shadow rating
Pip-Ring-SH-40-OmenStribog
A ring that gives 50 incoming and outgoing healing as well as 66 shadow rating
QA Accuracy Ring +50
A ring with 1 circle jewel slot that gives +50 accuracy. A +100 version exists as well.
Test Arch 25
A ring that gives 25 archmastery as well as 1 of each jewel socket. 2 other versions exist that give 50 and 75 archmastery. As the name suggests, this was likely used by the developers to test archmastery.
The One Ring
An infamously overpowered ring. The wearer is granted 3000 health, 500 mana, 500 energy, 100% power pip chance, 100% accuracy, 501 archmastery, 100 armor piercing, 500 critical, 500 critical block, 300 damage, 100 fishing luck, 500 pip conversion, 300 universal resist, universal mastery to all schools (allows the use of power pips of any of the 7 schools, not just the wizard's primary school of focus), 100% incoming healing, 100% outgoing healing, 500 shadow rating, 100% stun resistance, 100% speed boost, a tear socket, a circle socket, a square socket and a triangle socket (not that you'd need any of those by this point). It is also no auction (probably to prevent the developers from accidentally selling it in the Bazaar). The effects of it can be seen in some development screenshots, like this one.
Mounts
Alphyn (5 minute)
Although this mount is present in the game, it can only be acquired in 1 day, 7 day and permanent versions. No currently existing mount lasts for 5 minutes

A purple dragon mount which gives a 60% speed boost
Vlad's Deco Unicorn

Vlad's Super Fast Jaguar
A jaguar mount (as the name implies) that gives the player +100% speed.
Vlad's Two Seat Jaguar
Same as the previous mount, except it allows a second player to ride it.
Vlad's Unicorn
The same as Vlad's Deco Unicorn, but colored like one of the more traditional horse mounts.
Decks
Any Masterpiece Deck
A level 160 deck with 55 max spells, 6 max copies, a sideboard of 32 and 1 critical block rating. The name appears to come from the ability to craft Novus related decks. It is also no auction.
Any Shadow Queen Deck
A level 100 deck with 6 max spells, 2 max copies and a sideboard of 6. The name appears to come from the ability to craft Khrysalis decks, where the player could use any deck obtained from the Shadow Queen to craft a different one. It is also no auction.
Any SnowCrusher Deck
Ditto as above, except as level 50 and relating to the DragonSpyre boss SnowCrusher.
Durable Gobbler Deck
A deck that appears to be a possible deckathalon template. There are 0 max spells, but a sideboard of 64 and 1 starting power pip. Probably scrapped for actual deckathalon decks which give useful stats.
(Many decks)
Some decks are exclusive to enemies and have a blank name when attempting to be viewed. Many of them have 1000 max spells, 250 max copies and 1000 sideboard. There are some others that have different stats, like some have 15 max spells with only 1 copy per spell.
Elixirs
Decius Test Elixir
An elixir with no effects and lasts 10 minutes.
Introductory Accuracy Elixir
A 3 hour elixir that grants the player a 30% boost in accuracy.
World Elixirs
To do: Update this if more of these elixirs get added to the live game. |
Not the exact name, but presently, there are 8 unused elixirs related to skipping worlds, similar to the currently existing Celestia Elixir, which skips the player character past Celestia. The summer update in 2024 added elixirs to skip Zafaria and Avalon. This still leaves the elixirs for Azteca, Khrysalis, Polaris, Mirage, Empyrea, Karamelle, Lemuria and Novus unused. Like the Celestia elixir, to be able to use these, the player must have completed the world legitimately on another character, and they have to have started (but not finished) the world for the elixir that they wish to use. Curiously, the Azteca elixir was made temporarily available, but was removed due to technical difficulties where it resulted in game crashes.
Jewels
TEST All Accuracy -100
A triangle jewel that lower's the wearer's accuracy by 100 to all schools, essentially forcing them to fizzle. There are also versions for each school that do the same respectively, including shadow.
TEST All Resist -100
A square jewel that lowers the wearer's resistance by 100 to all schools. There are also versions for each school that do the same respectively, including shadow.
TEST Crit Block +300
A square jewel (no ingame model) that gives the player +300 critical block to all schools with a level requirement of 15. There are also versions for each school that give 300 critical block to the corresponding jewel.
TEST Crit Block +500
Ditto, except 500 block instead of 300.
TEST Crit Hit +300
A circle jewel (no ingame model) that gives the player +300 critical rating to all schools with a level requirement of 15. There are also versions for each school that give 300 critical rating to the corresponding jewel.
TEST Crit Hit +500
Ditto, except 500 critical instead of 300.
TEST Stun Resist -100
Lowers stun resist by 100%. You know, in case you were tired of being immune to stuns and wanted to be vulnerable to them again.
TESTING PURPOSES
A star jewel that gives balance accuracy. Interestingly, it mentions baby+ only, even though pets cannot equip jewels until they are at least ancient.
Other
Cosmetic Battlemage Armaments
May be an early version of the Battlemage Armaments that do exist from the bundle of a similar name. There is no model attached to these, but it's likely that before the developers gave people a version for every school, people would have only gotten one and they would have to dye it to get different colors, similar to the Battle Havox mount that requires dying it to get different colors.
Lemuria World Pack DoNotUse
Likely an early version of the existing Lemuria World Pack, obviously with a note letting other developers know to not use this (probably in reference to the crowns shop).
Magical Testing
Appears to be a test version of the Food Fight housing item.
Spider Saga Spellement Pack - Do Not Use Yet
To do: Check to see if this does get used in game. It is possible that it may be used for spellements of arc 3 spells in the future. If so, remove this section. |
This is likely a reference to Grandfather Spider, one of the villains in the 3rd arc. Although spellements do exist for these spells, they currently only exist to upgrade spells to permit usage in PvP. The developers have discussed separating the PvP spellement paths into their own spells (similar to how they have done so with spells like Kelvin's Icy Gaze being split from Scion of Ice) due to concerns regarding repeatedly having to reset spellement paths in order for them to be used in PvE again.
