    • i10____.xc - Check which umbrella models are used and unused.
    • i301000.xc - unused table model?
  • Event Models
    • ei000000.xc - Test skybox
    • ei100100.xc - a hurdle?
    • ei100180.xc - Placeholder box?

This is a sub-page of Yo-kai Watch (Nintendo 3DS).

Character Models

Models are found in specific character folders containing them. They are found in data/character.

Overworld Nate in Pajamas (c001030.xc)

Nate's cutscene model is used instead during the scene where he goes to sleep.

Overworld Katie in Pajamas (c002030.xc)

Katie's cutscene model is used instead during the scene where she goes to sleep.

Amy (c303000.xc)

Though Amy is briefly seen in an illustrated flashback, she never physically appears ingame nor doesn't have any set of animations. She would appear in Yo-kai Watch 2.

Overworld Item Models

Models that are used in the overworld (i_____.xc), usually by NPCs.

Nom Burger Meal (i771000.xc)

A fast food meal on a tray obviously intended to be used at Nom Burger by NPCs, compared to the already-modelled "decorative" trays in that interior. It doesn't have any animations associated with it.

Interestingly, this wasn't changed for localized versions, hence why the yellow "M" is still present in comparison to the changed textures of the latter.

I'm lovin' it!

Event Models

The following models are categorized as ei_____.xc, likely standing for "event". They are stored in data/event/ev_item.

Placeholder Screen

A big model of a black screen called (ei100130.xc), likely in the similar vein as the 2D artwork of Springdale when Whisper demonstrates Yo-kai in everyday life.

Early Yo-kai Medal

A model of an early Yo-kai Medal (ei000160.xc) featuring the Yoroi Tribe seen in prerelease media. Judging from the location, it was likely going to be used in the cutscene where Nate summons Jibanyan to fight Dismarelda. The design is identical at the back.

Other Models

Nate Test Model

Inside yw1_a.fa/data/event/test/mot_c020_base01.xc there's an early Nate model, likely used for testing downscaled polygons and pixels on the transition to the Nintendo 3DS's hardware. He has a different skin tone and a lower polygon count. It almost matches the model used in 2012 prerelease media, but with a big head.

Yo-kai Medals

Though the Charming Tribe (x004000) Yo-kai Medal is used in the cutscene where Jibanyan is summoned to fight Dismarelda, there exists models for the other seven tribes! They're found in data/character, but are categorized as "x_____", which are the only models to use that file naming scheme.

It's unknown if it was going to be used in a scrapped summoning sequence seen in prerelease media. In Yo-kai Watch 2, the Yo-kai Medal models used in the Summoning App are different and higher in poly count.
