Yo-kai Watch 3/Unused Areas

Hmmm...
To do:
  • There's still a few more areas to document.

This is a sub-page of Yo-kai Watch 3.

Unfinished Locations

Original Springdale Underground Waterway (room id:t100d00)

A completely black area, which still has collision (though it's a bit hard to navigate it), and where the location says Springdale Underground Waterway. It's possible that the location may have planned to come back rather than being a limited area.

Infinite Inferno (From t103d41 to t103d48)

Hmmm...
To do:
Is there a way to hack the entrance to open?

For the entirety of the game, the doors leading to Infinite Inferno cannot be accessed, but if one were to use a save editor it can be accessible but the entire area has been deleted, only leaving a black void. The music can still be heard.

Uptown-Triangle Way

Hmmm...
To do:
What is the room ID, and is it present in earlier games?

There's a weird area called: Uptown-Triangle Way. Unfortunately, it's an empty void. There is a likely chance that this could be a leftover map of The Memory Store in Yo-Kai Watch 2.

t401d11

An early version of Gloombell Forest. This design bears some similarity to the final version, both having a river dividing 2 sections but it has a Putasockinit walking around that cannot be interacted with.

t401d97

A flat test map full of vehicles from New Yo-kai City and Blocks

t401d98

An unused and early Rafting Adventure map, it splits into two different paths, one leading to a void and the other to a cave

t401d99 (Pre-Sukiyaki)

Looks like an early test map for blasters T dungeons with all the sections separated by red lines.
The map has a dungeon style that is not used in the final game but is quite similar to promotional images released when Blasters T was announced alongside Sukiyaki. Eventually this map would be updated with the release of Sukiyaki, and both its style and format would be changed.

t407g00

From the name of the file we can asume that this would be another big place to visit right after Dukesville. This map looks like a big city in a very early state with roads are full of vehicles, some seaports and a. Interestingly, the early ferry model resembles that of the steamboat seen in Northbeech, implying that it was supposed to be used to get there as a way of transport. In the texture files, there is a placeholder Statue of Liberty texture, implying that this location was supposed to be based on New York City.

Unfinished Blasters T Map (room id:t592d10)

Found between some Blasters T maps in the Version 2.0 update, is an empty red room with some clouds floating by. From the looks of it, this map is likely one of Enma's Palace dungeons but with no terrain loaded.

Test Maps

Testmap

It has 4 horses and a shiny item on the ground. There's no solid ground. Because of this, the item and the horses can't be interacted with, the map doesn't have any 3d model in the files but the npc data is still in the game.

Testmap2

Hmmm...
To do:
Compare with the final, also use this early artwork as a reference.

A really early and unfinished version of St. Peanutsburg, with the layout almost matching that seen in the Level-5 VISION 2015 trailer, implying that it was made much eariler. The map is smaller and consists of a singular large location that is completely connected to Northbeech and East Pine instead of being separated by sections like the final map. The limited detail implies that it was supposed to be used in a cutscene, but there's a lot more out of bounds which are unfinished placeholder buildings, notably an early version of the church in East Pine and two roads not present on the final map, these connect to where the Hazeltine Mansion would be, but it looks more like a city.

Testmapmask

A simple map for testing texture overlay and masking
