Unused Chart Data

Taiko no Tatsujin: Doki! Shinkyoku Darake no Haru Matsuri stores 127 chart files in its data, associated with the game's 34 songs. Of these 127, there are several instances of unused data, be it entirely unused files or just unused branch data.

From Previous Games

The following files have unused branches which also appear in previous games, or that match their appearance in previous games.

  • Chart 001 - AMA_E.BIN (Amairo no kami no otome - Easy/Kantan)
  • Chart 015 - TOUCH_E.BIN (Touch - Easy/Kantan)
  • Chart 017 - YEAH_E.BIN (Yeah! Meccha holiday - Easy/Kantan)
  • Chart 021 - ANP_N.BIN (Anpanman no march - Normal/Futsuu)
  • Chart 033 - TOUCH_N.BIN (Touch - Normal/Futsuu)
  • Chart 054 - ANP_H.BIN (Anpanman no march - Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 057 - GUTS_H.BIN (Guts daze!! - Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 065 - SSG_H.BIN (See saw game ~Yuukanna koi no uta~ - Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 067 - TOUCH_H.BIN (Touch - Hard/Muzukashii)

Same as Normal Branch

The following new charts have inaccessible branch areas, though their contents are the same compared to what is seen:

  • Chart 059 - JULY_H.BIN (July 1st, Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 060 - MINI_H.BIN (Minimoni. Jankenpyon!, Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 062 - ODORU_H.BIN (Odoru Ponpokolin, Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 063 - OJAMA_H.BIN (DANCE! Ojamajo, Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 069 - YEAH_H.BIN (Yeah! Meccha holiday, Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 071 - BUGI_H.BIN (Ofurock, Hard/Muzukashii)
    • Chart 105, BUGI_M.BIN, which is the song's Extreme/Oni chart, contains the same unseen branches.
  • Chart 072 - CCB_H.BIN (Kimi ni, romantic., Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 074 - CLSW_H.BIN (William Tell jokyoku, Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 076 - ENKA_H.BIN (Heisei taiko kaidou ~bachi no onna~, Hard/Muzukashii)
  • Chart 085 - YPP_H.BIN (Taiyou mo yappappaa, Hard/Muzukashii)
    • Chart 119, YPP_M.BIN, which is the song's Extreme/Oni chart, contains the same unseen branches.

Different Unseen Branches

The following new charts have unused or otherwise unreachable branch areas that differ slightly from what is seen:

Chart 058 - HARI_H.BIN

Hurricaneger sanjou!‍ 's Hard/Muzukashii chart. While the first branch split happens at measure 14, the Advanced and Master branch areas before it are populated; while the former are identical to what is seen, the latter differ slightly, but match what is seen in the song's Extreme/Oni chart.

Chart 066 - TAI_H.BIN

Taisetsunamono‍ 's Hard/Muzukashii chart. This chart has no measure splits, though both Advanced and Master branch areas are populated. They both have the same content; from measures 1 to 16, the unused data matches what is seen, but from measure 17, it matches the Extreme/Oni chart instead. This unused branch data can also be found in Chart 100, TAI_M.BIN, which is the song's Extreme/Oni chart.

Unused Files

Like with Taiko no Tatsujin: Tatacon de Dodon Ga Don, there are several charts meant for the Extreme/Oni difficulty of their respective songs, though they go unused, as their Hard/Muzukashii charts are called for that difficulty instead. In fact, these unused files are mostly the same as the Hard/Muzukashii charts, with differences noted as appropriate:

  • Chart 104 - BKO_M.BIN (Lovin' you Don-chan)
    • The measure offsets are all set a unit earlier in the unused file
  • Chart 107 - CLSK_M.BIN (Kekkon koushinkyoku)
    • Overall sync is later and slower in the unused file, as the measure offsets are positioned later and at wider intervals:
      Measure 1 to 6: 2 units later
      Measure 7 to 9: 3 units later
      Measure 10 to 12: 2 units later
      Measure 13 to 25: 3 units later
      Measure 26 to 28: 4 units later
      Measure 29 to 31: 3 units later
      Measure 32 to 44: 4 units later
      Measure 45 to 47: 5 units later
      Measure 48 to 50: 4 units later
      Measure 51 to 57: 5 units later
  • Chart 111 - FUNK_M.BIN (Saturday taiko fever)
  • Chart 112 - HAYA_M.BIN (Dododododonderful!)
  • Chart 114 - IDOL_M.BIN (Eringi no ekubo)
    • The measure offsets up to measure 72 are 2 units later in the unused file
  • Chart 115 - JAZZ_M.BIN (Taiko Session ~Live Version~)
  • Chart 118 - XEVI_M.BIN (Xevious taisou)

Debug Functions

Entering the code below boots the game to a debug menu and toggles a "debug pause". The former contains "warps" to many of the game's screens, while the latter contains several content viewers, much like Taiko no Tatsujin: Tatacon de Dodon Ga Don, although some of these options were changed a little. The controls are independent of controller.

Press Up and Down to navigate through the options, and Left and Right to switch through them. Pressing Circle or X selects a screen. Note that any of the warps will display sprites without transparency, and there is no actual input in them independent of settings used.

INFO

A configurations menu for the warps in the main debug menu. Pressing Circle, Square, Triangle, or X will leave the screen. There are seven pages of options available.

Page Description
GAME Changes general values for most of the screens such as song, mode, and players available.

TaikoCS2-debugPAUSEp4.pngTaikoCS2-debugPAUSEp5.png

Aside from the text being moved slightly to the left, making it impossible to determine which option is "overlayed", this Debug Pause menu is the same compared to its previous appearance. Press Start to display the debug pause menu and select options, Up and Down to navigate through the options, and Left and Right to switch through them. Holding L1, L2, R1 or R2 hides the debug pause.

Option Description
CONTINUE Closes the debug pause menu.
DISPLAY Display options, such as screen resolution and effects.
CAMERA Camera options.
LIGHT Light options.
IMAGE An image/screen viewer.

MEMORY Doesn't work. Presumably a memory viewer.
TASK Doesn't work.
