Naming standards

The last two edits, as of this post, quarrel about the localized name of this game. While this Fire Emblem has not formally received an international release or translation, NoA and NoE have localized various names from the earlier, Japan-only Fire Emblem titles indirectly, via games like Super Smash Bros. (trophies/stickers) and the latest Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem Awakening. The latter game includes several characters, plot elements, and names from the Japan-only games in localized form.

One of these indirect localizations include the (what we can presume to be) the de facto localized name for Fire Emblem 6 as being: Fire Emblem: Binding Blade.

Ought we rename this article, and any other Fire Emblem articles, to align with the localized names, or should we leave the main title of the article as being from wherever the game was released (in this case, leaving the Japanese title, albeit non-translated and only romanized, because it has only seen actual release in Japan)?--Celice 04:28, 18 April 2013 (EDT)

Nintendo of Japan uses The Sword of Seal as a translated title. Personally I would stick with the Japanese title (Fūin no Tsurugi) as the page title and mention both translated titles on the infobox, considering the game wasn't officially localized for the worldwide market and any English title, no matter how official the source is, will be an informal one. I would prefer we stick with Japanese page titles for games that were not officially released here, even if the title has an official translation. We can always create redirects for the translated title if necessary. --BMF54123 13:43, 18 April 2013 (EDT)
Long Japanese subtitles aren't going to mean anything to most readers of an English-language wiki. I'd call it reasonable to sacrifice a little accuracy for clarity's sake, especially if Nintendo's gone out of their way to give an English title to the game in the first place.
