Titanfall 2 is the sequel to Titanfall, featuring new Titans and new Pilot abilities as well as introducing the series to the concept of a single-player campaign.

Developer Mode

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: See if it's possible to make this mode playable via modding.

By adding "+developer 1" to the launch parameters the player can access a rudimentary "developer mode" that, as far as the title screen goes, includes a new option next to the data center select at the bottom named "Dev Menu". Unfortunately, this is as far as we can currently see due to the second effect of this developer mode, which is crashing the game to desktop upon attempting to load a mission due to broken scripts. The Dev Menu includes three options.

SP Missions

An in-depth level select that would allow the player to load into any checkpoint of any level in the entire game. The levels use the same codenames as their map files and have their own descriptions. This level select is, of course, affected by the aforementioned broken script issue, so none of the levels are actually playable.

Unlock Campaign Missions

Does pretty much what it says on the tin. Selecting this option automatically unlocks the full mission select screen and allows the player to select any level in the game to start from. Again, however, every single level crashes the game. Also, the unlocked levels don't save, and closing and relaunching the game will cause them all to be locked again if they were not unlocked before.

SP Style Maps

Similar to SP Missions, but instead features a selection of unused and/or test maps. None of the levels work, though this time it's because their .bsp files have been removed from the game entirely. The first four all have "Timeshift" in their name, implying that they were parts of the level Effect and Cause.

Early Map Names and Details

Every single mission in the game has a codename that was used during development. This can be seen in the names of their .bsp files and also in the Dev Menu, where each map is also given a description and an "owner" (presumably the developer(s) who were working on that level). In the dev menu, Into the Abyss/Boomtown is split into three sections, Effect and Cause/Time Shift is split into two sections (Time Shift Part 2, the latter part of the level in the menu, seems to contain the middle section of the level, with Time Shift Part 1 containing the start and the end) and The Beacon is split into two sections (Spoke 0, the latter part of the level in the menu, is actually the first half of the level in-game, and Beacon is the second half).
