An idea for the TF2 article

Hey there. It's my first time back here in several years. I had planned on hopping over here to fix up the Team Fortress 2 article once I had finished doing so over on the TF2 Wiki, and I noticed you had very recently edited the TF2 article. I figured I'd stop by and say hello. After looking at my handiwork from a few years ago, I'm realizing I reformatted the article and set up the subpages badly. So here's my idea for it;

  • Have the main article be just for content that is in the game files but goes unused, or was in the game files but was removed, etc. as it should be. That was my main screw-up, dividing things into subpages based on type of content.
    • So things from the "Weapons" subpage like the grenades and such would be migrated over to the main article for example. Same with unused models like the Repair Node, etc.
    • This will make the main article quite huge but most articles here on games with substantial amounts of beta/cut content are huge.
  • Change the subpages from "Weapons", "Models", etc. into subpages for individual leak sources as shown in this TF2Wiki template rewrite I'm working on for unused content;
    • "PatchVersion 1.0.0.0 Leaks"
    • "Reslist Leaks"
    • "Jungle Inferno Leaks"

What do you think? I really appreciate any help in fixing things up by the way. 404UNF (talk) 02:18, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Also, if you are looking for things like textures for the Nailgun and the grenades and such, here's a small download I put together of all that stuff a while ago (3.9MB). Here's what it contains and how to use it. Enjoy! 404UNF (talk) 02:25, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Well, I'm not really the super authority on the page obv, but in my opinion having the sub-pages for the various categories is fine since, like you said, having it all on the main page would be massive and probably overwhelming. And sub-pages from what I understand are for times where there's a ridiculous amount of content, so ye.
Plus, it'd be easier to understand than pages leading to various specific leaks. But that's just my opinion.
Thank you for the textures also. Would you mind sending a direct link to the download here or something though (if that's allowed)? The preceding unsigned comment was added by HolderOfTheEyes (talk) • (contribs)
Apologies, here's a direct download from my site. As for the article, it's had that "sucks" template on it since about the day I got banned a few years ago. It was fine the entire time I was here editing it, but around the time of my ban that template was slapped on it. So I'd been looking at it, figuring it was time for a rewrite and reorganization. I feel organizing by leak source makes things easier to figure out where specific things were found. I'd love to get input from some more knowledgeable folks around here on how things should be organized. 404UNF (talk) 04:14, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
One thought I did have regarding the sub-pages, I feel like more content should be combined into other sub-pages if nothing else. For instance, the Repair Node has an entry in Unused Weapons and Unused Models, but I feel like the fact that it's a weapon (well, building, but still) trumps the fact that there's unused models. But stuff like the skeletons, neutral briefcase, and...Halloween jiggle test could still be in Models since they don't qualify as a weapon, cosmetic, etc. Thoughts?

"Content to expand" edit

When editing Content to expand to remove stuff already on the pages, you also removed two things without moving them to their pages:

* [[Retro City Rampage]] may have an [https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAADMUKmAfHiOzQ unused cutscene portrait] meant for after unlocking CommanderVideo. This may not be in all versions, though.
* [[Mug Smashers]] has some unused stuff such as Jump and Destroy signs and possible unreleased Spanish version distributor graphics.

(you skipped the bit about the Spanish version). Was this on purpose? --Hiccup (talk) 17:17, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

The former already has that bit in its todo, and the later's page has this https://tcrf.net/File:MugSmashers-logo.png which I assume is what it meant by the Spanish distributor bit. Sorry if there was any confusion, but I did make sure that everything I removed was already on the games' pages in some way or another.
Ah I see, I missed those. --Hiccup (talk) 21:48, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Undertale Concept Art Formatting and Stuff

I personally think that the Undertale concept art should be arranged by area, and by character. So for example, there would be two subpages: Areas and Characters. Areas would lead to a page with subpages for the individual areas (Ruins, Waterfall etc). Then, characters would be divided into two subpages: Main and Secondary - which I feel is self-explanatory. Any miscellaneous stuff would go in a third subpage.

I'm telling you this mainly to make sure you're fine with that, since you just got done rearranging the pages. I can do the editing if so, so you don't have to do all that again. The work you did was great, by the way, thank you Scrade (talk) 04:37, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

That feels a bit excessive to me personally, especially if it's already a subpage with not much on it, though for characters that have a looooooot of concept art, then maybe? I just feel like blanket doing that would be too many subpages personally, ye. It's ultimately up to you though, not like either of us solely own the page :P BeepPerson (talk) 15:01, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
I'll try my way soonish, just to see how it ends up. Thank u lol Scrade (talk) 19:39, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
