Pochi to Nyaa is a port of the Neo Geo puzzle game created by former Puyo Puyo developers that ironically served as the last third-party MVS game developed for that system (though it was originally developed for the NAOMI). The PS2 version of the game notably adds several characters cut in the process of porting the game from the NAOMI to the MVS.

This sound is Compile's signature logo fanfare. A gameplay video of the opening for the unreleased NAOMI arcade version shows that it was used in that version on the Compile logo screen.
