Also known as: Shin Jinrui: The New Type (JP) This game has regional differences. This game has a Data Crystal page |
Adventures of Dino Riki is an extremely difficult shoot-em-up with platforming elements. It has a prehistoric theme, but also professional wrestling. I'll explain later.

It's a different title screen.
Transformation
Japan | US |
---|---|
Collecting a certain rare power-up icon will transform the player character into a "macho" form. In the Japanese version, this is a transformation into professional wrestler Riki Choshu, who appeared in promotions for the game. (The attack is supposed to represent his signature move, the "Riki Lariat", but the character just appears to fire clones of himself across the screen.) His appearance was changed to resemble Takahashi Meijin (or perhaps "Master Higgins") for the US release.
