Ballaz is an unusual shooter in which two ships co-operate to clear the screen of enemies by patrolling the perimeter and firing inward. (But it would also be a good name for a Bratz × NBA collab.)

Unused Sprites

The game's sprites are stored as ICON resources, with each batch followed by a corresponding set of masks. The last three icons (IDs 101–103) and their single accompanying mask (ID 104) do not seem to be used.

Hidden License Terms

In pre-8.5 operating systems, the first byte of the owner resource (0x42: decimal 66 or capital letter B) is misinterpreted as defining the length of the ensuing string, permitting only these 66 characters to appear in the Finder's Get Info box:

Post-8.5, the byte is correctly processed as a letter, but there still isn't enough room in the window to display the entire message.
