The BBC Micro's little budget brother, the Acorn Electron failed in its goal to claim the 1983 Christmas sales due to manufacturing problems, leaving it to be officially sidelined just two years later. Despite this, it still somehow managed to sell more games than its bigger brother, well into the early '90s.
