A conversion of the SNES game, released earlier that year. Had releases endorsed by a real player and a real team in certain regions, despite the game itself lacking both real player names and club teams.

Regional Differences

As with the SNES version, there's a few differences between the international and Japanese versions. However, unlike that one, where the Japanese release was a separate one from the US/EU ones, the Genesis version features said changes on any of the releases, as it's a multi region ROM.

The Japanese version removes the language selection, but not quite, as pressing up won't wrap around the cursor over to the last option as it normally would. As a result, upon start-up, the cursor is set to the game type option instead of the language selector.

Announcers

As with the Japanese SNES version, the announcer was also changed, although this version's announcer is different from that one.
