Unfinished Music

In 2023, community member TwoSpacesSG got in touch with Nicolas Signat, the game's composer, and received MIDI files of four unfinished songs that did not make it into the final version of the game.[1]

bone_valley.mid

Piano sketch for what appears to be a scrapped platforming stage. In the final, Bone Valley is the name given to the intermission flight stages that use the flight theme as their background music.

city_bellow.mid

Appears to be an unfinished track for another scrapped platforming stage. The internal title may or may not have been supposed be "Below the City".

golem2.mid

It appears that the original intention was to have two tracks for each boss (possibly a boss intro theme and a boss fight theme). This plan was cut down for one track per boss for most fights in the final version. "Golem 1" was used in the final version as the Dragon City boss theme, while this piece was abandoned as a piano sketch.

shadow_g1.mid

Likewise, "Shadow G. 2" was used in the final version as the Catacombs boss theme, while this was likely supposed to go with it as the intro to the same boss.
