After several years of difficult development, Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium was finally launched in 2023.

Before its launch, the game suffered from huge controversy due to a storyline that infuriated parasocial parts of the playerbase to the point the initials NTR were dropped everywhere, and after its launch, it became notorious for its excessive game difficulty and politically sensitive content.

According to developers who have resigned, the game's development process has been tortuous and has undergone huge changes in gameplay. This is also indirectly confirmed by the massive and confusing abandoned content.

There are large number of unused dialogue files, image files and voice files, some of which have been leaked to Chinese video websites. Because these files are so confusing, it is difficult to tell whether the contents are remnants of previous test versions.

Early version of application lcon. It can be considered that this version of the icon was produced during the second Logo period.

Second version of game logo. It can be considered that at some point between February 18 and April 1, 2022, this version of the logo was abandoned.

Anti-Cheat

If Cheat Engine is attached to the game, it will immediately close itself. This appears to be a very rudimentary anti-cheat because other types of debuggers or cheating tools aren't detected.
