Gon is a fairly challenging platformer about a chibi dino trying to get somewhere. Unlike most other platformers, the game has no HUD, and thus no visible health meter; as you take damage, Gon becomes angrier and angrier, and the background percussion goes faster and faster, until he finally becomes so angry that he destroys the Earth.

Game over.

Stage Select and Sound Test

Gon SNES stageselect soundtest.png

This stage select and sound test menu can be found in the programming but doesn't appear to be accessible without game enhancer cheats. Use Pro Action Replay (PAR) code 80A1E2E4 or Game Genie code 30C3-1D6D to access it on boot up.

Note that the STAGE value is displayed in decimal while MUSIC and SE use hexadecimal.

The controls (must use the 2P controller) are as follows:

  • D-Pad Left, Right: decrease or increase value.
  • D-Pad Up, Down: change selection.
  • L, R: decrease or increase selected value by 10.
  • A, X, Y: play music or sound effect.
  • B, Start, Select: exit.

The game will crash if an invalid STAGE, MUSIC or SE index is loaded.
