Friends Menu sounds

Before the Steam overlay, Half-Life 2 had a 'Friends' menu. These sounds go unused after it was added.

Citizens were meant to have unique comments and replies for Vortigaunts in their squad (see the "Vortigaunts" section).

Vortigaunts

Vortigaunts have a ton of unused dialogue for fighting alongside the player in a squad. They cannot join player squads in the final game, even when spawned by the player or placed in custom maps. Some of these lines were reused in Episode Two, albeit re-recorded with the new Vortigaunt voice actor, Tony Todd.
